PC Chapter 952 Ever Grande Conference Ends

“What a novel way of looking at it. If only those Trainers could also value the achievements of their predecessors and make use of them the way you do, Elite Four Terrance.”

Hearing Terrance’s explanation, Mr. Goodshow was quite surprised. A person’s success might come from many factors, but for a successful person to clearly understand where their success came from was something truly praiseworthy.

Vast breeding knowledge, training knowledge, coordination knowledge, and even knowledge beyond conventional standards were all part of Terrance’s wealth, and he understood very well just how much the knowledge systems summarized by his predecessors had helped him.

Just the knowledge taught to Junior Breeders alone might seem simple, but those results may have taken previous generations decades or even centuries to uncover.

This was also why the new generation of Trainers was becoming increasingly outstanding compared to the older generation.

“That day will come eventually.”

Terrance looked downward. At this moment, the opening ceremony of the the Ever Grande Conference had already reached its most critical stage.

On the high platform, the announcer held a microphone and shouted enthusiastically:

“Alright, now we enter the segment everyone has been waiting for the most!!”

“We will draw one lucky contestant to battle the special guest of this year’s Ever Grande Conference, Elite Four Terrance!! Opportunities like this are extremely rare, so everyone, make sure to seize your chance and start praying for yourselves right now!!”

As the announcer finished speaking, the giant screen immediately began flashing, before finally stopping on the portrait of a Trainer with orange hair.

“And there it is! The lucky Contestant is Jude from Suzuki City!!”

At this moment, among the hundreds of Trainers lined up inside Ever Grande Stadium, the Trainer named Jude pointed at himself in disbelief. After repeatedly confirming the envious looks in the eyes of the surrounding Trainers, he instantly burst into laughter.

“Lucky!! I get to battle an Elite Four!!”

Fairy Elite Four Terrance was currently the hottest Elite Four in Hoenn. Being able to participate in a public exhibition battle during the opening ceremony against a Trainer like him would bring enormous fame regardless of victory or defeat.

After the result was announced, the other contestants withdrew to the contestant stands to watch. Meanwhile, Terrance walked down and began the exhibition battle against Contestant Jude.

Terrance sent out Togepi, while the opponent sent out Aggron.

The appearance of two Pokémon whose body sizes were practically on completely different levels immediately pushed the exhibition battle to a climax.

From the Pokémon choices alone, Terrance’s side appeared to be at a disadvantage, but the course of the exhibition battle did not surprise anyone. Terrance, an Elite Four member of the League, displayed extremely formidable skill even while commanding Togepi.

At the same time, in order to enhance the performance aspect, Terrance deliberately had Togepi use relatively flashy moves during the battle. The dance of fairy power and flames, combined with the lengthy duration of the exhibition battle, instantly made this Ever Grande Conference far more interesting.

Watching the battle between Togepi and Aggron, Terrance remained calm inside.

Although Togepi and Froakie had not evolved, their strength was far from weak.

Not to mention this ordinary Trainer with fairly average strength, even elite Trainers with hopes of contending for the Ever Grande Champion title would absolutely not gain the upper hand against this Togepi.

After all, Togepi and Froakie had at least been raised under the hands of Terrance, a Top Trainer, for half a year. Even though no special breeding methods had been used on them, their combat experience was something Trainers who had barely gone through a few battles simply could not compare to.

Setting aside battles against illegal poachers, those two Pokémon had also undergone half a year of illusion skill training under Mismagius. Their willpower and experiences were extraordinary. Beyond that, inside the Super-ancient Pyramid, Terrance had also allowed them to enter the first floor to challenge their limits. That experience completely solidified their foundations. It could be said that, during the initial stages of Togepi and Froakie’s growth, the two of them had already mastered nearly every move and technique with practical value.

After becoming an Elite Four, Terrance had a new task: to truly begin raising them.

Previously, because he had been fully focused on the Champion League, Terrance had not devoted too much attention to training them. He had only sharpened their combat experience and standard moves. But now things are different. Although he was still far from idle, at least for the time being there was no burden weighing heavily on him besides Team Magma. And even Team Magma was not something he could resolve simply because he wanted to. Everything required time.

During this period, Terrance planned to continue improving the Fairy Army and the Fairy Domain.

What Terrance needed to consider next was how to further nurture those two Pokémon according to their individual styles, using his own experience as a Trainer to develop specialized training methods for them.

Amid Togepi’s gorgeous flames, the exhibition battle came to an end. Under thunderous applause, Terrance gave a few official opening remarks before returning to the main platform.

“If that Togepi weren’t also so proficient with Fairy Type moves, I’d suspect you borrowed one of Elite Four Sidney’s Pokémon,” Charles Goodshow said with a cheerful smile after Terrance returned.

Elite Four Sidney… Was he saying this Togepi was Dark-type?

“That comparison… is honestly hard to refute… Even as its Trainer, I don’t really know what to do about it.” Terrance laughed wryly, knowing Charles Goodshow was referring to the moment during the battle when Togepi failed to restrain its expression and unleashed its moves with a roguish aura. It looked even more evil than an actual Dark-type Pokémon.

That massive contrast had left the audience dumbfounded when they saw the cute little Togepi acting like that. The most infuriating part was that Togepi instantly switched its expression back afterward, causing a huge portion of the audience to rub their eyes repeatedly, wondering if their eyes were playing tricks on them…

After the exhibition battle, the tournament proceeded normally. From the preliminary round, to the Top 32, Top 16, Top 8, Top 4, and finally the Top 2, Terrance continuously observed every Trainer.

Among them, there was naturally one particularly special individual.

Up to this point, he had used only a single Pokémon, Darkrai, to sweep through every opponent, acting incredibly high-profile.

Charles Goodshow was clearly unfamiliar with Albus, but after hearing Terrance’s explanation, he also began observing this Aura user accompanied by Darkrai with great interest.

“He truly is an incredible Trainer. At this rate, even the other contestants who advanced to the finals won’t be able to stop him.”

Charles Goodshow clicked his tongue in amazement. This was the first time he had ever seen a regional conference proceed so decisively and swiftly. It was truly rare.

“With how high-profile he is, I’m even more curious whether he can continue advancing this smoothly in the Champion League and challenge the authority of the current Elite Four.”

Terrance smiled.

In the end, just as expected, Albus successfully claimed the title of Champion of the Ever Grande Conference and obtained the qualification to advance to the Champion League. After congratulating him, Terrance used the Elite Four network, based on the results of his discussions with Albus, to begin investigating detailed information regarding Aura power.
