The altar had survived the passage of countless years without being damaged and still existed to this day, now under the control of the Dojo Alliance.
The Star Altar was a special object capable of communicating with the power of the stars in the heavens. Its operation fundamentally relied on the power of Pokémon, using the move “Cosmic Power” as a guide and the altar as a medium to summon power of stars. In Seven Stars City, all the major dojos raised Pokémon that had mastered Cosmic Power to serve as keys for activating the altar.
As for how much power of stars could be drawn down, that depended on the strength of the Cosmic Power move.
There had once been an example in which the major dojos joined forces to help a Grass-type Pokémon communicate with the power of stars. In the end, that Grass-type Pokémon’s affinity with the sun rose rapidly, and within only a few days, it mastered Solar Beam to perfection, progressing at rapid speed.
