Lookout.
Bulma, Dende, and Popo had already been waiting for nearly half an hour.
At that moment, a spatial ripple appeared on the platform of the Lookout.
Talot arrived at the Lookout with 16, 17, and 18.
After arriving, the three Androids carefully looked around.
They had never known that such a place existed on Earth.
And according to Talot, this was the temple where Kami resided.
Seeing Talot return after such a long wait, Bulma quickly walked over.
When she saw 16 and 17, Bulma did not show much hostility and even remarked that Dr. Gero truly was a genius. But when she saw 18, she suddenly had a bad feeling.
Bulma was very smart. She did not ask any questions, while Talot explained the whole story from beginning to end.
After learning the full truth, Bulma’s expression relaxed slightly, but a surge of anger rose within her.
She had never expected Dr. Gero to be so inhumane. To control them, he had actually implanted such powerful bombs inside their bodies.
Now that the Dragon Balls had been gathered, they could use the wish to remove the bombs and also test the abilities of the new Dragon Balls.
The seven Dragon Balls were neatly arranged in the center of the Lookout.
“Come forth, Shenron, and grant my wish!” As Dende recited the incantation, the seven Dragon Balls resonated.
In an instant, heaven and earth changed color, and darkness swept across the entire planet.
A golden pillar of light burst forth from the seven Dragon Balls and finally took the shape of Earth’s Eternal Dragon.
“So this is… Shenron?!” It was the first time 18 had seen Shenron, and the dragon’s overwhelming presence startled her.
Had she not seen it with her own eyes, she would never have believed it was real.
“You who have gathered the seven Dragon Balls, state thy wish. No matter what it is, I can grant two wishes.” The moment Shenron appeared, he spoke his classic line.
The difference was that now it was no longer one wish, but two.
“Two wishes? So after you upgraded Shenron, he can grant one additional wish. That’s amazing, Dende.” Bulma clapped her hands, finally understanding what Dende had meant by the upgrade.
“My abilities are still very limited. I can only expand it to two wishes for now. If I want him to grant three wishes like Porunga, I’ll have to wait until my powers grow stronger before upgrading him again.” Dende felt a little embarrassed by the praise.
“You’re already incredible.” Bulma affectionately patted Dende’s head and continued praising him.
“Alright, now it’s time to make a wish. I promised you before. 18, you make the wish.” Talot turned to the still-shocked 18 and said.
Hearing this, 18 snapped out of her daze, organized her thoughts, exchanged glances with 16 and 17, and stated their wish.
The wish was simple: remove the bombs inside the three of them.
Faced with such a simple wish, Shenron merely said that it was easy.
Buzz~!
A crimson light flashed through Shenron’s eyes.
It seemed as though nothing had happened, but the super bombs inside all three Androids had indeed been removed.
“Your first wish has been granted. Please state thy second wish,” Shenron urged.
“For the second wish, is there anything you want? Bulma.” Talot turned to Bulma and asked.
Having reached a level of power such as his, ordinary things could no longer spark his interest. Even if he had certain ideas, Earth’s Eternal Dragon probably lacked the ability to fulfill them.
So rather than wasting a wish, he preferred to let Bulma decide how to use it.
“But I don’t really have any wishes I want granted right now…” As the richest woman in the world, aside from lifespan and eternal youth, there was practically nothing Bulma wanted that she could not obtain herself.
Before this, she had already used Namek’s Eternal Dragon Porunga to make a wish.
Bulma fell into thought, and then a flash of inspiration struck her as she thought of Goku, who was still suffering from the viral heart disease at Mount Paozu.
“How about using the second wish to cure Goku’s viral heart disease?” Bulma suggested.
“That is indeed a good wish, but it would be a bit wasteful. Kakarot already has the special medicine brought from the future timeline. He’ll completely recover within a day or two. And after this wish is made, the Dragon Balls will need a year to cool down. If we don’t use the second wish, the Dragon Balls’ cooldown period can be reduced to six months. What do you think?” Talot said.
Hearing this, Bulma thought about it and realized Talot made sense.
Goku would recover in just a few days, but Shenron’s cooldown period was much longer. If they didn’t use the second wish, the cooldown would only be six months, which could help in case of emergencies and provide a safety net.
“In that case, we won’t make the second wish. You can go now, Shenron.”
As soon as the words were spoken, Shenron heard them.
“Since you have no more wishes to make, farewell.”
Shenron’s enormous body dispersed, and the seven Dragon Balls rose into the sky.
Just as they were about to scatter across Earth, Talot used the power of space to lock onto the seven Dragon Balls that were about to separate. After completely negating all their momentum, he pulled the Dragon Balls which had turned into stones back to his side.
The sky that had been shrouded in darkness returned to its previous bright and clear state.
“From now on, keep these Dragon Balls sealed within the Lookout. Unless it is absolutely necessary, do not casually use the Dragon Balls again,” Talot said to everyone present.
There was another layer of meaning behind those words.
The Dragon Balls had both benefits and drawbacks. If they were abused too many times, the next thing to emerge would not be the Eternal Dragon, the dragon who granted wishes, but the Shadow Dragons that would drag everything into destruction.
Although with his strength he had no fear of the Shadow Dragons, he was not a person of this timeline after all. Sooner or later, he would have to leave.
In the end, this world would have to be protected by its own people.
Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.
Attendant Popo quickly picked up the seven Dragon Balls that had turned to stone. He would store them in the deepest part of the Lookout and only take them out when needed.
