APJ Chapter 505 Fake Kaido?

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

World Government has been trying to minimize the significance of the Void Century, but the remnants left by the great kingdom during the Void Century continue to influence the development of future generations. The ancient era may not necessarily be backward; it could also represent an extremely advanced prehistoric civilization.

While Queen started going to the library for his own future, Yamato successfully returned to Onigashima.

“Dad, look, we brought back the Devil Fruits!”

Yamato walked in holding two Devil Fruits like it was her own achievement, seemingly expecting praise.

“Well done. Did you encounter anything interesting on the way?”

Appropriate acknowledgment and praise foster positivity. Yamato was growing older, and in a few more years, she’ll be ready to venture out on her own. Given her luck, bringing back a plate wouldn’t be surprising.

“It was alright. We watched a movie in which Brother Tesoro acted and also saw some interesting battle suits. But I’m not sure where those annoying white suits came from. Oh, Dad, how are GT-9 and GT-10?”

“They’ve been restored long ago. You don’t need to worry about that.”

The spare bodies of Genesect had always been stored in the warehouse. The two Genesects who had self-destructed had already returned to Onigashima with new bodies.

Meanwhile, the Beasts Pirates were also gathering details about the Cozia Kingdom from the Underworld. How CP0’s team managed to get there was a serious issue.

Although they were highly suspicious of the royal family of Cozia, they wouldn’t act without concrete evidence. Leaking information about employers or targeting them was a major taboo in the Underworld.

But investigating the secret intelligence of the World Government was proving to be quite challenging, and there hadn’t been much progress yet.

“Oh, and here, this is for you. I’ll leave the task of raising it to you.”

A giant egg standing over a meter tall appeared before Yamato. It was something created not long ago and also a part of the Beasts Pirates’ Giant Soldier program.

The enormous Serperior from Skypiea and the Emboar from Wano Country were currently the only Pokémon with massive size even without Dynamax.

However, apart from them, there were currently no new members. This giant egg is one of the new members, but it is limited by its growth mode, so Arceus created it as a gigantic egg.

Unlike Elizabeth’s egg, which had patterns, this egg was extremely smooth and had a stony dark green color.

Yamato, who was almost 15 this year, grew faster than boys when she was young. So, this egg, over a meter tall, only reached her waist.

The Power of Viridian allowed her to feel the fetal movement inside the eggshell, but the life inside it had not yet grown enough to respond to her.

“Dad, what’s inside here?”

“You’ll find out once it hatches. This is going to be a great child.”

Arceus kept it a secret, not telling Yamato which Pokémon was inside the egg. But she wasn’t affected and eagerly carried the egg back to her room.

“Diancie, are you there? Can you help me make a stand? We’re about to have a new companion soon.”

She didn’t immediately look for a suitable place to store the egg, instead she went to look for Diancie. Diancie’s ability to create diamonds was like a bug; she could create anything of any shape.

“No problem, it’s quite simple.”

With the help of Diancie and her own Genesect, a brand-new nest was created, and Smeargle painted it with new colors, providing a new home for this future companion.

“Oh, by the way, where are Jack and others? Are they still training?”

“Maria should be with Miss Riko in the Red-Light District, and Jack has gone out to sea to hone himself. As for Ulti and Page One, they should be up there.”

Diancie pointed towards the direction of the ceiling, and Yamato understood what that meant very well. After putting down her affectionate Alcremie, she opened the window and climbed up along the wall.

She has taken the unconventional path to the extreme. Diancie’s message was quite clear: Ulti and Page One were undergoing someone’s brutal training, but Yamato wasn’t hearing any sounds, indicating that they weren’t on the roof but rather on the higher levels of the Sky Island’s training ground.

Without bothering the resting Millennial Dragon, this time Yamato chose to climb up using the vines.

As she drew closer to the location of the training ground, she also heard a familiar scream. This sound was somewhat familiar to her; she had been through it herself years ago.

Though still far from escaping the abyss of suffering, under the condition that Kaido gets easy on her, she has gained a tiny bit of power to resist him. This gives her a sense of being an experienced person.

The duration of the screams wasn’t long, indicating that Kaido’s training had temporarily stopped. When she finally climbed up, she saw Ulti and Page One lying on the island cloud.

“Ul-chan, Pay-tan, I’m back!”

According to their usual habit, Ulti would strongly refute being called this way, typically by saying something like, “Don’t call me Ul-chan! Only I can call him Pay-tan!”

But not this time. Yamato saw a different look in Ulti’s eyes, as if she were eagerly anticipating her return.

In fact, that was the case. Ulti had never imagined that one day she would miss Yamato so much.

Yamato had been out with Queen for almost half a year, while Jack and Maria, due to their increasing age, had begun venturing out on their own for training. Isuka and Perona, due to their lower talents, didn’t require Kaido’s personal training.

In this scenario, Kaido’s main focus was on Ulti and Page One, to make the children of his old friend stronger. They understood what it was like to undergo Kaido’s specialized training.

Coupled with Ulti’s usual tough talk, they had been living quite comfortably for the past half year. Previously, Kaido had made it clear that they could only rest when Yamato returned. So, Yamato’s arrival at this moment was a lifesaver to Ulti.

Summoning the last of her strength, she dragged Yamato directly in front of Kaido.

“Hey! Your own daughter is back. Go bother her! Pay-tan, let’s go!”

With that, she grabbed Page One and leaped down the island cloud. Based on the feedback from Page One’s voice, he still had the ability to fly. And seeing that Kaido didn’t chase after them, Ulti’s excited voice reached them.

Turning around and watching Ulti flee, Yamato suddenly realized that she had seemingly delivered herself to Kaido.

“Worororo, it seems these two kids haven’t reached their limit yet. I can adjust the intensity of their training.”

As Kaido spoke these somewhat terrifying words, he walked up to Yamato, but contrary to what she expected, he simply placed a large hand on her head.

“You did well this time.”

Meanwhile, a bounty poster also drifted into her view, but all Kaido received was Yamato’s gaze filled with suspicion.
