PC Chapter 1045 Global Broadcast

After Greninja’s cold expression met Mega Sharpedo’s bloodthirsty gaze, the two Pokémon immediately clashed before the eyes of the Team Rocket trio. At this point, Team Rocket had no time to worry about retrieving the Poké Balls. They hurriedly fled, swimming away while repeatedly looking back to see whether Sharpedo was chasing them.

“Greninja?”

As seawater splashed through the air and landed on him, Matt watched Greninja use Water Shuriken to block Mega Sharpedo’s Poison Fang, then use the tremendous rotational force to fling Mega Sharpedo away together with the Water Shuriken. His expression grew grave.

“Sharpedo, dive underwater.”

Even without Terrance’s commands, Greninja knew what to do. Using Bounce, Greninja leapt into the air and briefly hovered there. Relying on its own perception of the ocean, as well as the power of Mind’s Eye, Greninja quickly sensed the location of the Sharpedo rapidly swimming through the water.

The next moment, Greninja compressed the water between its hands. Countless streams of seawater rose upward against the flow, condensing to the utmost limit in Greninja’s hands. After Extrasensory was infused into it, Greninja quickly formed a Water Shuriken even larger than its own body. Because the Water Shuriken had been compressed to the current limit of Greninja’s control, its color had changed from a pale aqua blue to a deep blue crystalline hue.

As the Water Shuriken was hurled, the sea was slashed apart once more. The Water Shuriken entered the ocean and instantly generated an astonishing cutting field that headed straight toward Mega Sharpedo. Underwater, thanks to its powerful rotating and cutting properties, the Water Shuriken was even more agile than Sharpedo. Before long, the fin on the right side of Sharpedo’s body was grazed and directly sliced open, staining the surface of the sea red with blood. As Mega Sharpedo cried out in pain, Matt gritted his teeth and said, “Freeze the wound first, then dive into the deep sea. We’ll attack that mirror together.”

Matt had never expected this suddenly appearing Greninja to be so powerful. With a savage expression, he activated the diving devices strapped around his waist, arms, and legs, then quickly descended into the deep sea together with Sharpedo.

But before they could figure out how to evade Greninja’s Lock-On, a vortex of water suddenly formed. A ferocious-looking red Gyarados suddenly swam out from the depths. With a sweep of its tail, the seawater reversed like a waterfall, producing a tremendous force that sent Mega Sharpedo flying out of the sea. The next moment, Greninja’s Water Shuriken swept across once again, severing Mega Sharpedo’s other fin and depriving it of the ability to swim quickly underwater.

“Aaaahhh…” Carried by the swirling current, Matt was also flung out. In that fleeting instant, he glared viciously at Lance, who had already left but had suddenly doubled back.

“Team Aqua Admin, Matt.” Lance rested one hand on Dragonite while holding a gun-like launcher in the other. Activating it, he said, “I didn’t expect Team Aqua to still refuse to give up. But as long as I’m here, no one will be allowed to interfere with Elite Four Terrance—”

The next moment, a retracting net enveloped Matt, and both he and the net sank back into the water.

One of Team Aqua’s highest-ranking Admin had been captured by Greninja and Lance before he could even approach the Fairy Domain. At the same time, Lance looked toward Greninja. After Greninja nodded, it returned to Terrance’s side and joined Gallade in protecting Terrance.

Although Terrance had been unable to raise a Greninja capable of using a golden Water Shuriken like the Ash from the parallel timeline, with the assistance of the Rain secret technique, Greninja had instead entered the top-tier through its unique blue crystalline Water Shuriken, which had been compressed to the absolute limit.

In terms of overall stats, Greninja’s accumulation was rather lacking, but the destructive power of Water Shuriken alone had pushed Greninja’s strength to the level of Terrance’s main Pokemon. At present, Greninja had only one move capable of posing a major threat to enemies in top-level battles, and that was Water Shuriken. It was currently Greninja’s strongest foundation. However, with its various other moves working in coordination, Greninja would not find itself in overly awkward battle situations. Its ninja-like, flexible fighting style allowed it to adapt easily to all kinds of battlefields.

Terrance and the Rotom Pokédex continued controlling the Fairy Domain, adjusting the operation of its various links. Lance said little as well, stationing himself with Dragonite on one side to prevent extremists from Team Magma and Team Aqua like Matt from appearing again.

However, as time passed, with Archie and Maxie still unconscious and their conditions unknown, none of the other members of Team Magma or Team Aqua dared to emerge again.

Whoosh!! Whoosh! Whoosh!! Whoosh!!

Time seemed to pass very slowly, but for Terrance, it felt extraordinarily long. As the sound reached their ears, the distant black dots from before finally came clearly into view before Terrance and the others. The Hoenn League’s first wave of reinforcements had arrived.

Hoenn League Champion Steven stepped directly out of the aircraft and, with the help of Metagross’s Confusion, arrived beside the Fairy Domain.

Although he had already seen the scene of the Fairy Domain suppressing the Super-ancient Pokémon through the footage transmitted back by the Elite Four medal, Steven still felt somewhat stunned when witnessing it all with his own eyes.

“Mr. Lance, thank you very much.”

As the Hoenn League Champion, Steven first expressed his gratitude to Lance.

“This is all Elite Four Terrance’s achievement. I wouldn’t dare take the credit,” Lance said with a smile.

Steven smiled, then looked toward Terrance, who had been standing atop the Ice Mirror for a long time, and asked, “Under these circumstances… it wouldn’t be suitable for outside forces to intervene, would it?”

“The four types of restraints have already restricted Groudon and Kyogre. The coordination between the power of ice and Confusion has reached a calculated equilibrium. Sudden interference from an outside force not only wouldn’t help, it might instead cause unnecessary changes and make the situation more complicated…” Terrance said thoughtfully.

“However, Fairy-type power is an exception. The Fairy Domain has a way to regulate it perfectly. Aside from that, I’ve also applied to the Hoenn League for equipment capable of cutting off the influx of natural energy. As for whether it can be transported here in time, I don’t know.”

Steven understood. Looking at the continuously operating Fairy Domain, he sighed. Under these circumstances, other Trainers not only couldn’t help Terrance, they might actually make things worse. However, the equipment Terrance mentioned for cutting off the influx of natural energy could function independently outside the Fairy Domain, dispersing the gathered natural energy that could allow the Super-ancient Pokémon to return to their Primal forms.

In accordance with Terrance’s requests, the Hoenn League has been taking action. The main efforts concerned the Togepi Paradise in Mirage Kingdom, adjustments to technological facilities, and finally, the group heading toward Sky Pillar.

Mira was a reporter for the Hoenn League’s official television station. At the League’s request, she was now conducting a global live broadcast of this Hoenn disaster.

Inside a helicopter high in the sky, Mira looked through the window toward the deep sea below and nervously let out a breath. Since taking this job, she had never encountered news this big.

Now, she could finally understand how the female colleague who had conducted the live broadcast during the Orange Archipelago disaster must have felt. She no longer envied her at all. This wasn’t an opportunity to stand in the spotlight—it was risking your life.

“According to the latest report from our station, the villainous organizations Team Aqua and Team Magma of the Hoenn region attempted to capture the Super-ancient Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre, causing Groudon and Kyogre to go berserk and resulting in floods and droughts across numerous areas of Hoenn. As everyone knows, Legendary Pokémon are important existences that regulate the harmony between human society and nature. The atrocities committed by Team Aqua and Team Magma have already caused severe and irreversible damage to the Hoenn region.”

“I’m Mira. This is Hoenn Route 127, the area where Groudon and Kyogre are currently located. The two Super-ancient Pokémon remain in a berserk state and could enter human-inhabited areas at any moment. Hoenn League’s Elite Four Terrance immediately took action to bring the two rampaging Super-ancient Pokémon under control. We’ll now switch to the live footage.”

Holding a microphone, Mira looked down from high above at the Fairy Domain and the suppressed Groudon and Kyogre. Suppressing the shock and fear in her heart, she did her best to calmly explain the situation to the camera.

Terrance casually glanced at the television station’s helicopter but paid it no further attention and showed no reaction. He remained standing atop the mirror, watching the changes in the two Super-ancient Pokémon. Little did he know that, as the primary combat force handling this incident, the image of Terrance facing the two Super-ancient Pokémon had already spread throughout the world.

In the Kanto region, Elite Four Agatha, Elite Four Lorelei, and Elite Four Bruno watched the live broadcast in silence. Inside Saffron Gym, Sabrina was also following this major disaster, whose scale was no less severe than the previous Orange Archipelago disaster. When she saw the latest footage—Terrance suppressing the two legendary Pokémon—she revealed a thoughtful expression.

At Team Rocket Headquarters, Giovanni toyed with the cup in his hand while watching the footage, his thoughts unknown.

In the Hoenn region, at Sootopolis City, Contest Master Wallace and his teacher Juan had already prepared themselves to defend Sootopolis. However, the latest developments forced them to shift their attention to what would happen next in the waters of Route 127.

In Fallarbor Town, Fallarbor Gym’s Kotoko; in Rustboro City, Rustboro Gym’s Roxanne; in Dewford Town, Dewford Gym’s Brawly; in Lavaridge Town, Lavaridge Gym’s Elite Four Moore and Flannery; in Petalburg City, Petalburg Gym’s Norman; and in Fortree City, Fortree Gym’s Winona—all of them stopped what they were doing and began fulfilling their duties as Gym Leaders. If the League failed in the waters of Route 127, the entire Hoenn region would be affected, and a great battle would become unavoidable.

In the Sinnoh region, Gym Leaders Fantina and Candice, as well as Bug-type Elite Four Aaron, who had once partnered with Terrance in a Double Battle, watched Hoenn’s developments with grave expressions. In addition, Cynthia, the Sinnoh League’s strongest combatant and the most powerful Champion, who had taken first place in the previous private Champion exchange competition, could not help but show surprise in her eyes beneath her blonde hair.

In Unova, Kalos, and even the Alola region, where a formal League had yet to be established, people were paying attention to this major event concerning Hoenn’s fate.

“Who is that Trainer suppressing two Legendary Pokémon?”

“Didn’t you hear the report? That’s Terrance, one of the Hoenn region’s own Elite Four…”
