PC Chapter 1043 The Trainer Who Suppresses Legendaries

“Reinforcements?”

Compared to the Hoenn League, the Indigo League had always been a step slower in receiving updates on the situation here.

There were two reasons the Indigo League was paying such close attention to Groudon and Kyogre’s movements. First, the Indigo League served as the headquarters of the Pokémon League. Second, there was Lance. As the Indigo League’s ace, Lance’s safety was of great importance to them. At the very least, they absolutely could not allow anything to happen to him in the clash between Groudon and Kyogre.

What blocked Groudon’s attack was a massive diamond shield. Under Groudon’s overwhelming blow, the diamond shield created by Mega Diancie instantly began to crack.

“Altaria, Diancie, Dazzling Gleam!”

At the same time, a commanding voice rang out. The diamond shield condensed by Mega Diancie instantly disintegrated. Imbued with boundless Fairy energy, it rapidly shifted positions, folding into a row of square mirrors in the sky that reflected two massive beams of Fairy Light, blasting Kyogre and Groudon’s bodies back down into the sea once again.

“Mr. Lance, leave this place to me from here on. You take those people somewhere safe.”

“I plan to use a special tactic to trap them.”

Lance looked at the unfamiliar yet familiar young figure and recognized him—Terrance, the rapidly rising Fairy Elite Four of the Hoenn region. However, Lance was quite surprised by Terrance’s confident attitude. After all, they were facing two Super-ancient Pokémon. Even if his entire dragon army were gathered here, he might not have such confidence.

“I understand.”

Lance nodded. For two people who had never fought together before, cooperating in a lower-level battle would not be a problem. But when facing power on the level of Super-ancient Pokémon, recklessly teaming up might interfere with Terrance’s core tactic. For a top-tier powerhouse, that could be fatal to their performance. Since Terrance had already thought of a method, Lance chose to trust this young Trainer.

After giving Terrance a deep look, Lance quickly turned around atop Gyarados, while his Dragonite also flew back into the sky.

As the two Super-ancient Pokémon resurfaced, the corner of Terrance’s eye twitched. What kind of defensive power was this…? They actually looked completely unharmed?

Beneath the vast pink misty aura blanketing the sky, the Ribombee Army, transformed into a gigantic aerial beast, had already strengthened themselves to the limit while flying over. The dual stats of Quiver Dance and Calm Mind were rapidly relayed to every member of the Fairy Army that needed power!

At that instant, the Fairy Domain rapidly sealed off Groudon and Kyogre. The enormous domain was successfully constructed, causing Lance to glance back slightly. Compared to the Fairy Domain Terrance had constructed before, the current Fairy Domain had incorporated a new core and looked incomparably dazzling.

“Only one person?”

The Indigo League clearly had not known that the so-called reinforcements from the Hoenn League consisted of only one person. Seeing that only a single Trainer had appeared, they could not help feeling somewhat disappointed.

“That’s Terrance, the Fairy Elite Four of the Hoenn region.”

“Didn’t you see the power of those two Super-ancient Pokémon? If they’re allowed to affect Sootopolis City again, it won’t just be the Hoenn League, the Leagues of the other regions will lose public credibility as well. When that happens, the organizations that have always opposed the League will seize the opportunity to stir up trouble, making the situation more and more complicated!”

“Hardly any time has passed at all. Elite Four Terrance was the only one nearby before this. We wanted to send more Trainers too, but time-wise, it was simply impossible!”

The Hoenn League and Indigo League began arguing over the matter. Although Steven, who was in Mossdeep City, had also rushed toward the area as soon as the information was confirmed, Terrance, who had been the first to obtain Team Rocket’s intelligence and had already been deliberately searching for Ash and the others, was unquestionably the fastest to arrive.

“Wait!!”

“What’s going on?!”

After they could no longer obtain a visual feed from Lance, the viewpoint switched to a live broadcast transmitted through Terrance’s Elite Four medal, allowing the higher-ups of the two big Leagues to assess the situation on-site.

The images seen through the Elite Four medal made those League higher-ups cry out in disbelief.

Several Elite Fours from the Kanto Region and Johto region were also paying attention to the situation here. After Elite Four Agatha retired and took over Viridian Gym, although she was no longer an Elite Four, as a veteran retired Elite Four, she still retained numerous privileges, such as the specially made Elite Four medal before her.

Aside from her, there were also Ice-type Elite Four Lorelei and Fighting-type Elite Four Bruno. All three had some connection with Terrance. It had been the three of them who nudged Terrance toward challenging for an Elite Four position. Neither Agatha, Lorelei, nor Bruno had initially expected Lance’s reinforcement to actually be Terrance.

“Will he use that technique?” Elite Four Agatha and Elite Four Lorelei recalled the attack Terrance had used against Giovanni and felt somewhat expectant. Back then, Terrance’s core system had still been incomplete. Now that he had been an Elite Four for so long, would they finally get to see a true Fairy Elite Four?

In fact, Terrance really had trapped the two Super-ancient Pokémon, just as he had told Lance he would.

The Fairy Domain constructed this time was different from before. It was something Terrance and Rotom Pokédex had temporarily simulated and devised on the way here specifically for the two large Super-ancient Pokémon. This was also its first actual use—they had taken a gamble.

Aside from the Ice Moon core, Ninetales and Castform had also combined their powers to create Ice Mirrors that gathered the power of ice. Together with Mega Diancie’s Magic Bounce, they formed a grand Ice Crystal Magic Mirror formation. The domain formed by the Ice Mirrors and Magic Bounce did not connect perfectly, leaving gaps that were filled by the 24 Lunatone, which became the “eyes” on each side.

After the 24 Lunatone were strengthened through Ribombee’s Calm Mind-Baton Pass, their psychic power was further amplified by the Ice Moon. At the same time, they became integrated with the Fairy Domain. At this point, the Lunatone could jointly manipulate several enormous streams of psychic energy. That psychic energy was converted into Confusion, suppressing the two Super-ancient Pokémon. This was the first layer of restraint.

Gardevoir and Mawile released Misty Terrain. Under Gardevoir’s psychic control, the mist transformed into Fairy Lock, sealing the two Super-ancient Pokémon on top of the Confusion and preventing them from moving. This was the second layer of restraint.

At the same time, using the ice-crystal formation, Castform and Ninetales mobilized the power of ice to continuously freeze Groudon and Kyogre. This was the third layer of restraint.

Finally, Mismagius released the light of Hypnosis through countless mirror surfaces. Although the effect of Hypnosis was weak, because the two Super-ancient Pokémon were restrained and in a rampaging state, Mismagius’s soothing Hypnosis still managed, to some extent, to make the two Pokémon show signs of calming down. This was the fourth layer of restraint.

Under these four layers of restraint, Groudon and Kyogre struggled continuously, yet were never able to break free.

After Lunatone received the enhancement from Moonblast within the Ice Moon and the relay boost from Calm Mind, their psychic power surpassed its limits. At the same time, they fed moonlight back into the formation, using Magic Bounce to continuously restore the condition of every member of the Fairy Army. Through the move Moonlight, the Fairy Domain completed a cyclical system, successfully allowing Fairy power to perpetuate itself endlessly. Meanwhile, with the Helping Hand of the 24 Lunatone, Gardevoir also broke through its limits. The Fairy Lock shaped from mist became extraordinarily resilient, constantly infused with Fairy power and psychic power, leaving Groudon and Kyogre unable to tear it apart under the fourfold restraints.

The combination of Castform’s Nature Power and Ninetales’s Snow Warning Ability also successfully created an ice prison of astonishing strength.

Although this lineup allowed Fairy power to operate with minimal consumption, it was impossible for there to be no consumption at all. During this period, Ribombee’s Pollen Puff could help alleviate the strain.

Through the Fairy Army’s special combination, a powerful tactic for suppressing Legendary Pokémon took shape, completely sealing Groudon and Kyogre in place. Terrance stood atop a mirror surface, silently watching the scene.

Although it had succeeded… he did not know how long it could last.

If they could not defeat them, then suppressing them would do. With Ribombee present, this suppression tactic could theoretically be maintained for several days and nights. The prerequisite was… that the two Pokémon did not return to their Primal forms and reveal power strong enough to break free from the suppression!

The higher-ups of the Indigo League and Hoenn League were all rendered speechless when they saw Fairy Elite Four Terrance suppress two Legendary Pokémon by himself, shock plainly written across their faces.

Lance, who had turned away to leave, and Ash and the others in the distance also saw through the mirrors that Groudon and Kyogre’s enormous bodies had been pinned to the surface of the sea, unable to move, and they too revealed stunned expressions.

As the Trainer who had inherited Fairy Aura, Terrance had successfully used the power of nearly eighty Pokémon to temporarily suppress two Legendary Pokémon.

Watching Groudon and Kyogre struggle, Rotom Pokédex continuously analyzed the surrounding natural energy. Although Altaria was exerting all its strength to use Fairy energy to squeeze out the natural energy capable of allowing Groudon and Kyogre to undergo Primal Reversion, it still could not eliminate it completely.

Under these circumstances, Terrance calmed himself and stood quietly atop the Fairy Domain. He knew that an even more brutal battle might still be waiting ahead.
