LPPD Chapter 60 Tackle from the Sky

The Weedle in front of him was so thin and small that even after eating its fill, its combat power probably wouldn’t be very high.

Thinking of this, Lu Li instantly became full of confidence.

After all these days of training, Feebas had become very proficient with Tackle. On top of that, it had been well-nourished recently and had remained in excellent condition. With those two factors combined, Lu Li couldn’t find any reason why he would lose.

“Wait here for me for a moment.” As Lu Li spoke, he turned to Indeedee beside him. “Indeedee, could I trouble you to take me back? I’ll prepare some nutrient solution for it.”

Indeedee nodded. The hotel only had food suitable for humans. If they wanted to fill Weedle’s stomach, they really would need the highly nutritious food from Lu Li’s place.

Indeedee disappeared instantly with Lu Li.

After returning home, Lu Li quickly got busy.

Considering that Weedle might never have eaten its fill since the day it was born, Lu Li deliberately prepared an extra serving of nutrient solution.

Feebas only needed one basin to get full, while he had deliberately prepared two.

After returning to the hotel again, Lu Li placed the two basins in front of Weedle.

“Hurry up and eat,” Lu Li urged.

Weedle raised its head and glanced at Lu Li. It suspected that this human was trying to brush it off.

I’m a Weedle! Shouldn’t you be preparing some leaves for me?

Sensing the suspicion in Weedle’s gaze, Lu Li could only explain helplessly, “This is nutrient solution. Its nutritional value is higher than leaves.”

Weedle ate leaves, but Beedrill was an omnivorous Pokémon that could eat meat as well as nectar, pollen, and other foods.

If Weedle absolutely had to eat leaves, then he would have no choice but to change his first target.

After all, leaves from the real world definitely wouldn’t be enough to fill Weedle’s stomach. If nutrient solution couldn’t be used as a substitute, that meant he had no way to feed Weedle properly.

If it couldn’t eat its fill, then Weedle wouldn’t be able to obtain enough energy to support evolution, and it likewise wouldn’t be able to train.

In that case, Weedle would basically be useless.

Weedle hesitated, but in the end, it steeled itself and began drinking the nutrient solution.

Lu Li had also deliberately mixed a large amount of vitamin C and other supplements into the nutrient solution.

After taking a tentative sip, Weedle’s eyes lit up.

This stuff actually tasted pretty good. More importantly, it could eat it.

Weedle practically buried half its body in the nutrient solution inside the basin. About five minutes later, Weedle was finally full.

With its belly slightly bulging, Weedle lazily lay beside the basin.

Lu Li thoughtfully looked at the basin, which still had half the nutrient solution left. In other words, Weedle’s appetite was less than half of Feebas’s?

Having a small appetite was a good thing, at least for him right now.

Lu Li didn’t rush Weedle. Only after it had rested for a while did he ask, “Can we battle now?”

Hearing this, Weedle slowly rolled over, then stood up and nodded.

Seeing this, Lu Li directly placed Feebas into the basin.

After falling into the nutrient solution, Feebas casually took a sip, then looked at Weedle with full confidence.

It might not have much confidence against Spearow.

But against a Weedle, it was still confident.

Indeedee acted as the referee from the side. After both sides were ready, Indeedee called out loudly, “Indeedee”

“Little Beauty, give Weedle the first move. Let it attack first,” Lu Li deliberately shouted.

Hearing this, Feebas watched Weedle warily from inside the basin.

Weedle directly used its signature move—String Shot.

A white beam of energy shot toward Feebas in the basin.

“Splash!”

Seeing this, Lu Li hurriedly shouted.

He had been waiting for Weedle to attack first. Newly hatched Pokémon were already not very proficient with their moves, and Weedle had spent its entire life in an environment where survival itself was uncertain. Its control over its moves was even rougher.

Feebas used Splash to dodge Weedle’s String Shot, and Lu Li immediately followed up with another command.

“Use Tackle!”

Have you ever seen a Tackle descending from the sky?

Weedle said it hadn’t.

Facing Feebas as it charged toward it, Weedle began gathering energy again.

Dark green energy started condensing around its horn as it tried to meet the incoming Feebas head-on.

Unfortunately, it had overestimated the speed at which it could unleash its move. Before Poison Sting had even finished forming, Feebas had already slammed into it.

Bang~

Feebas struck Weedle right on the forehead.

After taking a Tackle that left it both dazed and aching, Weedle was sent reeling, its head spinning.

Feebas landed on the floor, slapped its tail against the ground, and after hopping twice, quickly readjusted its posture.

“Press the advantage! Keep using Tackle!” Lu Li shouted.

After adjusting its direction, Feebas launched itself toward Weedle again.

Weedle had only just recovered from its daze and was about to counterattack when Feebas’s Tackle once again rushed right in front of it.

Bang~

This time, Weedle was sent flying backward and crashed into the wall behind it.

When Weedle’s body struck the wall, a faint flash of light flickered across the surface and vanished in an instant.

After falling to the ground, Weedle finally panicked. It felt that if it got hit one more time, it might end up scattered into pieces.

“Weedle!”

Weedle let out an almost terrified cry.

Lu Li was just about to order Feebas to continue pressing the attack when Indeedee stepped in front of Weedle.

“Indeedee”

Indeedee stopped Feebas, which was gathering strength, and seeing this, Lu Li also recalled Feebas.

Indeedee had suddenly interfered, which meant that Weedle’s cry just now had not simply been a scream of pain, but a cry of surrender.

Indeedee thoughtfully treated Weedle’s injuries.

Weedle examined its condition in surprise. After discovering that the injuries on its body had disappeared, Weedle gratefully called out to Indeedee.

Indeedee responded as well.

After thanking Indeedee, Weedle slowly crawled over to Lu Li.

“This speed…”

Lu Li was speechless inwardly, but he still took out a Poké Ball.

This was the Poké Ball he had previously taken apart and reassembled. Lu Li wasn’t sure whether it could still be used.

But judging by his professional knowledge and experience, the Poké Ball should still work, and there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it.

“So, do you want to become my partner?” Lu Li held the Poké Ball out in front of Weedle.

Faced with Lu Li’s invitation, Weedle looked at him with a complicated expression.

“Weedle”

(Does this fake human have any hope of evolving into a real person?)

Weedle turned its head and called out to Indeedee.

“Indeedee”

(As long as you believe in the bond between you, then whether he is a fake human or a real human won’t be a barrier between you.)

Indeedee naturally didn’t know whether Lu Li could evolve as well, but as a kind-hearted Pokémon, Indeedee chose to believe that the bond between Trainer and Pokémon could transcend species.

After hearing this, Weedle looked again at the basin by Lu Li’s feet.
