DBEPV Chapter 290 Stunned Goku, Challenge (Part 1)

Upon arriving outside, Talot and Bulma saw Goku and Son Gohan.

“Yo~! Bulma.” As soon as he appeared, Goku made his signature greeting gesture.

Beside him, Son Gohan also politely greeted them. When he noticed 17 and 18 coming out, he paused for a moment, then seemed to realize something and smiled politely.

“You’ve recovered pretty well. I thought there might be some aftereffects, but it looks like the special medicine from the future world really works. It got you back on your feet so quickly,” Bulma teased when she saw Goku’s complexion looking much better.

Hearing this, Goku revealed his honest smile before turning his gaze toward Talot, 17, and 18.

“I’ve already heard about you from Gohan. I never expected the differences between timelines to be so great. Thanks to you, the true enemy lurking in the shadows was dealt with,” Goku greeted Talot warmly.

“It was only a small matter, Kakarot,” Talot replied with a smile.

As the two spoke for the first time, 17 and 18 took the opportunity to carefully observe Goku.

The siblings exchanged a glance, instantly understanding each other’s thoughts.

The general meaning was that the Goku whom Dr. Gero had always wanted revenge against didn’t seem all that powerful based on their analysis. He even appeared weaker than the Vegeta they had defeated back then.

“Although I really want to challenge you, with my current strength, I probably can’t even beat those two Androids over there,” Goku naturally sensed the doubt and disdain coming from 17 and 18.

He spoke honestly without hiding his thoughts. Though he felt somewhat discouraged, he was even more excited inside.

If the Androids were that powerful, it meant there was still much more room for them to improve.

“No rush. I’ll be staying in this world for quite a long time. You can challenge me when you feel your strength is sufficient. Besides, there’s something I should remind you of. Vegeta and Trunks entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber more than a day ago. Judging by the time, they should be coming out soon. If you don’t want them to leave you behind, you’d better go train there as well and break through the limits of the Super Saiyan,” Talot reminded him.

Upon hearing this, Goku’s eyes widened in shock and he cried out in surprise: “What?! Vegeta and Trunks already went into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train? I was planning to tell everyone about the chamber after I recovered… In that case, I’m heading to the Lookout right now.”

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber was a sacred place for rapidly increasing one’s strength through training.

One day outside equaled one year inside. Knowing Vegeta’s personality, Goku believed he would pay any price to become stronger.

In other words, after two years, Vegeta’s power would surely increase to a level even he couldn’t imagine.

If he didn’t want to be left behind, he absolutely had to go there himself.

After hurriedly exchanging a few more words with Talot and Bulma, Goku left with Son Gohan.

Talot watched them depart, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly.

He wondered what Goku’s reaction would be when he saw the completely new Vegeta and Trunks.

Since Vegeta and Future Trunks had not yet emerged from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, there was no need for him to go over just yet. He could wait until the father and son came out.

“Well? What do you think of Goku?” Talot turned and asked 17 and 18.

“Although the analyzed data is a little off, it’s not too different from the information we have. One thing worth mentioning is that Goku really is a good person. He’s quite different from what the records described,” 17 remarked with a sigh.

“A large portion of the data Dr. Gero implanted into us was fake. It was used to distort our memories. The versions of us in the future world were probably influenced by those false memories and then subjected to deeper modifications, which is why they went around causing destruction,” 18 said.

Talot nodded slightly as he listened to them.

In the blink of an eye, two hours passed.

At this moment, outside the Lookout.

Goku and Son Gohan had already been waiting there for quite some time.

During this period, Goku learned about Piccolo and Kami’s matter. He also found out about Dende’s arrival, its impact on Earth, and the modifications and upgrades made to Shenron.

Since Son Gohan had already learned of Dende’s arrival through Bulma’s notification the day before yesterday, the two chatted enthusiastically.

Time passed as they waited.

The moment the door to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber opened, the calm yet powerful auras of Vegeta and Future Trunks flowed out from within.

That fierce Ki instantly drew the full attention of Goku and Son Gohan.

Having completed their training, Vegeta and Future Trunks stepped onto the platform of the Lookout and saw Goku and Son Gohan waiting there.

After two full years of training, the father and son’s martial arts uniforms had become heavily damaged.

If Popo had not prepared plenty of spare clothes inside, they would have had nothing to wear by now.

The eyes of the fated rivals, Goku and Vegeta, met. At this moment, in terms of aura alone, Vegeta unquestionably held the absolute upper hand.

After two years of brutal training, Vegeta’s strength had long since become incomparable to what it once was. It could even be said that his current power had reached the level of his original work’s self during the Majin Buu Saga seven years later.

Even the Perfect Cell from the original story—no! Even Super Perfect Cell standing before Vegeta now would not last more than a few exchanges.

“Looks like you’ve recovered quite well, Kakarot.” After several seconds of eye contact, Vegeta flashed a devilish grin and took the initiative to break the heavy atmosphere.

With his keen eyes, he had already seen through Goku’s current level.

Too weak!

“It seems your gains from training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber were even greater than I imagined, Vegeta,” Goku could clearly sense just how powerful Vegeta had become. The man before him was already completely beyond his reach.

Whether it was his aura, physical strength, vitality, or mental state, Vegeta surpassed the current him by far too much.

“Humph…. If you want to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and train, then go ahead. But before that, let me remind you of something. I’ve already surpassed the limits of Super Saiyan. Even after your training is over, you still may not be my opponent,” Vegeta said arrogantly.

That statement alone showed just how confident Vegeta had become.

With absolute power backing him, he had regained the dignity of the Saiyan Prince.

Goku was no longer worthy of his attention. Even if Goku’s strength increased tremendously through training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Vegeta still had complete confidence in crushing him.

He was the Prince of all Saiyans! Once he had surpassed someone, that person would never easily surpass him again!

“It seems your improvement is even greater than I expected. But it’s still too early to draw conclusions, Vegeta,” Goku knew Vegeta’s current strength was extraordinary, but he would never admit defeat.

“We’ll see,” Vegeta said, having no intention of further entangling himself with Goku. He had more important matters to attend to.

Turning around, Vegeta looked toward Future Trunks and gave him a signal with his eyes.

After two years of companion-style training, the father and son had become extremely familiar with each other. No words were necessary; a single glance was enough for them to understand one another.

Future Trunks turned around and retrieved the Hoi-Poi Capsule he had entrusted to Attendant Popo before entering training.

Inside were all of their clothing supplies.

Bulma had prepared them in advance and left some spare supplies outside. Otherwise, once everything inside had been used up, there would have been nothing left.

Right in front of everyone, Vegeta and Future Trunks casually changed into their battle armor.

Meanwhile, Goku was already growing impatient.

However, before he could enter to train, he still had to wait a little longer.

The supplies inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber had been completely exhausted, so Popo needed time to restock.
