Under Vegeta’s imposing aura, Cell’s emotions became extremely agitated.
After traveling through time to this era, he originally could have directly gone to hunt down and absorb these people.
However, to be safe and avoid underestimating their strength—resulting in being killed before fully growing—he had chosen the cautious route, first absorbing ordinary humans to increase his power.

“Hmph! Vegeta, you really are just like the rumors say—arrogant and conceited. From your earlier conversation, 17 and 18 should already have awakened, right? After being defeated by 18 and still surviving, instead of hiding away, you’re standing here showing off. Do you really think being the Prince of Saiyans makes you that impressive?” Cell’s provocation was on an entirely different level from ordinary people.
Those sharp words left Vegeta red-faced with rage.
“You’re courting death!!” Without any hesitation, Vegeta immediately stepped forward and charged toward Cell.
A terrifyingly powerful fist shot straight toward Cell’s face.
Ordinary people would never be able to dodge this strike! Especially among opponents of the same level, the sharpness of Vegeta’s punches could be called unrivaled.
However, before Cell, this punch amounted to nothing.
On one hand, the difference in strength was simply too great. On the other hand, Cell possessed Vegeta’s cells within his body and understood Vegeta’s fighting style perfectly.
Without choosing to dodge or retreat, Cell used his tail to wrap around Vegeta’s arm, instantly stopping him in place.
“What?!” His full-power strike being effortlessly neutralized, Vegeta once again became Tragedy-ta.
Before he even had time to react and resist, Vegeta suddenly felt the world spinning around him.
Cell carried him straight into the sky, then viciously smashed him toward a skyscraper.
‘BOOM!!!!’
The skyscraper collapsed, burying Vegeta beneath the ruins.
“So that’s all? What a complete waste of space. No wonder, even as a prince, you’ve always been crushed beneath Goku,” Cell continued mocking, his tone full of ridicule.
Not long after those words fell, the ruins suddenly exploded apart. Gritting his teeth, Vegeta reappeared with golden flames blazing around his body.
“Damn it! Damn green-skinned bug! I’ll tear you into pieces!”
As his voice fell, Vegeta pressed both hands together. With a furious roar, terrifying energy rapidly gathered.
“Galick Gun!!”
A violent pale-purple blast of energy erupted forth, shooting straight toward Cell in midair.
The power of this attack was indeed tremendous and posed a threat to Cell.
But Cell was no fool. He had no intention of remaining in place to be struck.
Letting out an evil grin, Cell rapidly spun through the air, dodging the devastating attack at incredible speed.
Seeing this, Vegeta angrily ended the energy blast and charged head-on once more.
Thus began an intense close-combat pursuit battle.
On the ground, everyone watched in stunned silence.
Especially Tien Shinhan and Krillin. Their strength was far too weak for them to properly analyze the current situation.
Piccolo’s expression was solemn, while Future Trunks looked even grimmer.
“Dad’s acting too rashly. This Cell’s strength is in no way inferior to Android 17 and 18,” Trunks said.
“Remember your father’s flaws. Don’t become like him in the future! Vegeta has severely underestimated this monster’s strength. As much as I hate to admit it, none of us are this monster’s opponent,” Piccolo said, before turning his gaze toward Talot.
He was certain Talot definitely knew how powerful this Cell truly was.
Yet he still brought them here to confront him. Without question, he intentionally wanted them to first experience Cell’s overwhelming strength and recognize their own weakness before making a move himself.
“No need to look at me. Just keep watching the battle. However, there’s one thing I still think is necessary to tell you. You should have already sensed it yourself, as your strength increases and your realm rises, you’ve already reached the end of a path! It’s become nearly impossible for you to improve further,” Talot began advising Piccolo.
This was intentional.
If Piccolo learned in advance how to become stronger in the future, then just how powerful would the Piccolo of this timeline become?
In fact, in Talot’s own timeline, he had already done this. He had directly brought Piccolo to Planet Namek to be trained by Ragar.
Piccolo sucked in a cold breath and looked at Talot seriously.
Talot’s words had struck directly into his heart.
“You mean… I should go find my other half?” Piccolo asked bluntly.
Those words made Trunks curious, while Tien Shinhan and Krillin’s eyes widened in shock.
“Just from a few hints from me, you immediately thought of the key point? Indeed, that’s one method. What can be confirmed is that after assimilating and becoming whole, your strength will be at least ten times greater than it is now. Android 17 and 18, as well as this Cell, will no longer be your opponents.
“Of course, there are other paths as well, but I still recommend that you fuse into one, because Kami’s lifespan is already running out.”
Talot said.
Hearing this, Piccolo sank into his own thoughts.
As for assimilating with Kami, he didn’t even know when he first started having that idea.
