APJ Chapter 477 Archaeology is the primary productive force

This is the key difference between going solo and team operations. In the original timeline, she had to rely solely on herself, and even if she wanted to explore history, she had to rely on other organizations, and be wary of such situations.

But now it’s different. She has plenty of time to slowly research afterwards. As long as she can determine that the discovered items are valuable, she can request assistance. With the Vivre Card, the Beasts Pirates nearby can quickly locate her.

Treasures, Plates, Poneglyphs, Devil Fruits, Famous Swords, anything valuable is fair game. This was the agreement when the Beasts Pirates took them away from Ohara back then; documents for them to study, but anything with tangible value belonged to the Beasts Pirates.

Among them is the Poneglyph. Although it’s not the elusive last Road Poneglyph, the Poneglyphs containing crucial information are equally sought after by the Beasts Pirates.

Objects that have been passed down for so long likely contain some secrets. The mysteries from hundreds of years ago are also something they want to uncover.

Although King and Shayna are descendants of the Lunarians, some information has long been lost. Now, archaeology is the only solution.

Elizabeth flicked her tail, the sharp tail blade devoid of any bloodstains. Soon, a few droplets of water appeared on her fingertips. With incredible piercing power, she shot them out like bullets, instantly piercing the hearts of several people in the distance.

At the same time, the ships anchored in the bay suffered a chain of explosions, and the organization’s ships sank under the firepower barrage of the Shadow Fox Ship.

Yet, the nictitating membrane covering Elizabeth’s eyes remained closed. As a unique feature of reptiles, Inteleon’s nictitating membrane not only serves the biological function of keeping the eyes moist but also acts as the radar for this species.

The special structure on the nictitating membrane could analyze the enemy’s weaknesses, seeing things that the naked eye couldn’t, like the Sobble hiding behind a rock.

She was the biological mother of this Sobble, but the first thing it saw upon birth was Robin. Elizabeth didn’t hold any special affection for it; she was just teaching her junior.

For example, the angle just now is good for shooting Water Gun. Although the disparity between Sobble and Inteleon is large, Sobble cannot shoot high-speed water bullets as freely as Inteleon, but their Water Gun is not for watering flowers.

At the very least, it could incorporate tear gland secretions into the Water Gun, a substance potent enough to act as tear gas for humans even when diluted.

Though Elizabeth hadn’t experienced Inteleon’s first two forms, as Sobble’s final evolution, there were certain similarities between the two’s abilities.

As Elizabeth was teaching her junior, Olga arrived with her entourage.

“Robin, have you found anything?”

“A Poneglyph, but I haven’t examined its contents yet.”

“Understood, I’ll take that back with me.”

The Beasts Pirates didn’t just collect copies of Poneglyphs; they wanted the originals. Although to the world, the most crucial aspect of Poneglyphs was the information they contained, as indestructible stones for centuries, they might hold unknown secrets. When circumstances permitted, bringing them back was the optimal solution.

“Take those treasures as well; money shouldn’t be wasted.”

Since they were already there, they naturally wouldn’t let these treasures go to waste. A few people were assigned to collect the treasures outside, while the rest followed Robin into the ruins.

“We’re just picking up other people’s wisdom. Robin, that’s what this phrase means, right?”

Olga could now understand ancient script, but she was a bit amateurish in certain aspects. There are some translations that she struggles with, but compared to her, Robin is the most skilled translator.

“That interpretation seems fine. It appears to be some sort of research log, discussing special techniques from hundreds of years ago, but…”

“What’s wrong?”

“Look here, and here. The meaning of these passages… it seems like several hundred years ago, this world had more advanced technology?”

The general consensus is that the future is more advanced than the ancient times. However, the information in this text appears to contradict that viewpoint.

In a sense, it wasn’t entirely surprising. Poseidon is the Merfolk princess, but Pluton, as documented, has always been a massive warship, referred to as an ancient weapon. So, naturally, they were created in ancient times.

But now, things like that are nowhere to be found, indicating that certain technologies are inferior to those of the ancient times.

This situation is not uncommon in some worlds. For example, some Protoss sealed their weapons because they thought they were too powerful. As a result, when facing a Zerg invasion, the fastest way to develop weapons was not to research, but rather delving into archaeology.

The battleships left behind from the Golden Age became the foundation for the future Protoss. Looking at it this way, a similar situation seems to exist in these seas. The existence of the World Government has not fostered progress but rather regression.

And those things from ancient times are in their hands, enabling them to achieve a tactical advantage.

“No wonder they are so fearful of delving into history.”

“Forget about it for now. The information on this Poneglyph isn’t comprehensive. Without context, we can only speculate.”

Based on the inference from these few isolated phrases, they couldn’t ascertain certain details. In the end, they decided to load the Poneglyph onto the ship, intending to let the scholars above Onigashima take their time to study it.

With the Poneglyph, Olga returned directly to Onigashima. However, she didn’t take Robin with her. Instead, she left her on a nearby island. Finding this ruin made her even more curious about the past, firming her resolve to explore.

According to the information compiled by other scholars from Ohara, she shifted her focus to the Four Seas. Compared to Paradise and the New World, it was safer and easier to explore certain things there.

Robin’s departure had no impact on Onigashima, but other forces suffered. Robin possesses a strong aptitude for learning and, during her time with Tesoro, she acquired a wealth of knowledge.

Relying on the acquired knowledge and her own cunning nature, she thrived in various forces. However, the organizations that took her in often faced unexpected incidents. Nevertheless, she managed to escape unscathed each time. Gradually, she also made a name for herself in the Underworld, though it wasn’t a good reputation.

Despite her formidable abilities, the forces daring enough to employ her often faced internal strife, leading to their destruction. Therefore, in the past year, she has earned the title of “Underworld’s Black Widow” through the destruction of three underworld organizations.
