In the midst of battle, Genesect would follow the orders of the local pirates if they are reasonable orders. That was the directive she received, so she refrained from attacking immediately. Arceus’ orders are absolute to the first-generation Pokémon created by him.
As long as he doesn’t go crazy and desire world destruction, whatever he does, Pokémon are his most capable assistants.
“Just attack and don’t waste time.”
“Attack preparations complete.”
A red glow flickered in Genesect’s compound eyes. Their compound eyes were integrated with the heat detection ability, and with the beam cannon on their back, it was like a radar lock. Then, the card slot on the back of her cannon started to change color; she was selecting the attack-type.
Meanwhile, on the pirate ship, their leader soared into the sky from the sinking ship. A pair of white wings had sprouted on his back, and his body had become much more robust, with his hands and feet resembling hooves.
Zoan-type • Mythical Zoan • Horse-Horse Fruit • Model: Pegasus, a very rare Mythical Zoan with the ability to fly; it is quite uncommon on the sea. With the help of the wings and the Zoan’s body enhancement, he made a name for himself in the first half of the Grand Line.

Although Mandrell gained the ability to fly after evolving, Mandrell’s home ground when facing enemies is underwater. IF even Non-Devil Fruit users cannot stay submerged for extended periods, Devil Fruit users would lose stamina even faster.

Although there were risks, they had a chance to seek refuge. Those residing on lawless islands without protection don’t even have such an opportunity.
The residents of the New World were not interested in who the lawmakers were. As long as the rules didn’t jeopardize their survival and allowed them to live safely, they would support the rulers. That’s why, the Emperors of the Sea usually have a good reputation within their territory.
With the battle over, life on the island returned to normal. The salvage team began retrieving supplies from the location where the enemy ship had sunk, checking for any valuable items.
This also served as a replenishment for ammunition consumption. It was then that Mandrell realized a problem – Pierman had only informed him that Genesect had chosen his private island for building her nest but hadn’t mentioned the specific location of the nest.
So, he followed Genesect to her place. However, the more he walked, the more he felt something was off. He had asked Tesoro to find an architect from the Red Line for this water park .
Based on the island’s features, he meticulously designed numerous scenic areas, including one for a wetland park.
And now, the central building of that scenic area has been occupied by Genesect.
“Do you need something?”
“I just wanted to see where you are living.”
“I think this wetland is quite nice. My lord said we could choose where to make the nest, and I like this building. Is that okay?”
Since it was a private park built for Rusalka, it was tailored to female aesthetics. The Genesect assigned here happens to be female, and with Arceus’ promise, she chose this place on her own.
“Sure, of course. However, sometimes people may live in that house over there. Can you please be mindful of them?”
“My task is to guard the island, including all its residents.”
“That’s good. By the way, do you have any special food requirements? The aquatic life here is mainly ornamental fish. It would be best not to eat them. I’ll have someone arrange food for you.”
In the end, Mandrell and Genesect reached a few friendly agreements. Although there was now another Pokémon in the private estate, overall, it wasn’t too bad.
In the following period, Mandrell played in the private amusement park with his wife and someone’s sister, Tesoro filmed movies with his wife on Fishman Island, and Jack returned to Onigashima with souvenirs. Meanwhile, the Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center gained some new patients.
