APJ Chapter 1355 God’s Knights, the Giant Blessed Ones (1.5x) (Part 1)

An Admiral was still an Admiral, after all. Whether it was Fujitora or Kizaru, both possessed terrifying combat power. Although Fujitora was a “new recruit” enlisted through the World Military Draft, the fact that he could break convention and be directly granted the rank of Admiral already demonstrated his strength. Otherwise, such a thing would have been impossible. Both the old and new Admirals stood among the world’s top combatants. Aside from Ryokugyu, they had all displayed a unique strength of their own.

Having Katakuri deal with an Admiral alone was truly asking too much of him, whether the opponent was Fujitora or Kizaru.

However, aside from Charlotte Linlin herself, Katakuri was the only member of the Big Mom Pirates capable of participating in a battle at this level.

At least he possessed the ability to hold his own. If any of his other brothers or sisters took his place, the outcome would only be worse.

“Gravity Blade: Shark!”

Fujitora swung his weapon down twice in succession. Unlike his usual straightforward gravity slashes, these attacks carried a slight curve. As they swept toward Katakuri, the seawater on both sides was also affected by gravity, sending a surging wave toward him.

“What a troublesome blind man. No wonder Mama specially gave me life. Watch this!”

Homies possessed all sorts of personalities, and even Charlotte Linlin could not necessarily predict what every Homie would think. Compared to the simple-minded Zeus, Crius was clearly much more impatient.

Facing the incoming wave, Crius began spinning at high speed. Air currents gathered around it as it rotated, eventually forming a mighty tornado.

Under the influence of Crius’s power, the wave Fujitora had just raised transformed into a waterspout that shot toward the sky before sweeping toward the nearby Marines.

“Have a taste of your own power!”

“So this is the ability of an Emperor of the Sea? It truly is dangerous.”

Fujitora had already sensed the approaching torrent, as well as the aura Crius possessed that differed from that of a human.

“Though I do not approve of starting a war at this time, now that the battle has begun, I cannot allow you to slaughter the soldiers without restraint.”

A vast and terrifying aura radiated from Fujitora’s body. The stones near his feet began trembling continuously as an invisible force spread outward.

Boom!

Crius’s body was abruptly crushed against the ground. The land that had just risen from the seabed was still covered in large amounts of mud and sand, and Crius was nearly buried within it. However, it was a Homie formed from wind, an incorporeal life-form by nature.

Bang!

Crius’s body exploded apart, pouring through the cracks in every direction before re-forming in an area unaffected by the gravity.

“Crius, you are too impatient.”

Ourea, whose body was composed of rock and earth, slowly stepped forward. Fujitora’s gravity field had the least effect on it. As a part of the earth, it had once endured the immense gravitational pull from the planet’s core and possessed a certain resistance to gravity.

The ships had begun to buckle under the clashes of these monsters, so Fujitora had created a foothold comparable to an island. However, that also gave Ourea a place to display its power.

Several stone pillars several meters thick suddenly erupted from the ground and smashed toward Fujitora, but Fujitora’s attention was focused more on the area above.

“Buzz Cut Mochi!”

Boom!

Holding his sword in a reverse grip, Fujitora raised his arm and blocked Katakuri’s strike. However, he sensed something unusual within the attack.

“To think you would make use of my gravity. What a dangerous attack.”

Powerful gravity fields currently surrounded Fujitora. By attacking from above, Katakuri was taking advantage of that gravity.

Fighting Fujitora alone would be extremely difficult for Katakuri, and he would not be able to last long. But with the assistance of two Homies created from fragments of Charlotte Linlin’s own soul, the situation was different.

Katakuri did not need to defeat Fujitora. All he had to do was cooperate with the Homies to keep Fujitora occupied, preventing him from freely interfering with the other battlefields while waiting for Charlotte Linlin’s fight to end.

The battle between Kizaru and Charlotte Linlin was what would ultimately determine the outcome here.

“Happy Mother’s Blaze!”

“Heavenly Yatagarasu!”

Flames and lasers collided in the sky. Kizaru’s figure darted nimbly around Charlotte Linlin, but at every critical moment, Charlotte Linlin managed to catch his movements.

“What an annoying b*stard. Your ability really is irritating…”

“That’s what I should be saying. Such an incredibly clumsy-looking body, yet it’s abnormally agile. People like you truly are scary.”

Kizaru had just kicked Charlotte Linlin in the forehead, but he had also taken a punch to the abdomen.

A charred mark had appeared on Charlotte Linlin’s forehead, but judging from their conditions, Kizaru had been affected more severely.

“Mamamama~ Katakuri is holding up fairly well. As expected of my strongest son. Flashy B*stard, did you Marines send a third Admiral?”

“That’s classified military information, but I’d be more than willing to discuss it with you once you’re in prison.”

Kizaru did not answer directly, instead mocking Charlotte Linlin in his distinctive tone. However, Charlotte Linlin did not become angry. Instead, a cruel smile appeared on her face.

“Looks like you didn’t. Then how are you going to deal with this… Mother’s Visit Cannon: 3000 Leagues of Misery!”

Zeus and Prometheus’s energy converged on Napoleon’s blade. As Charlotte Linlin swung Napoleon once more, a hideous elemental creature with lightning for a body and flames for hair appeared.

Its target was not Kizaru, but the Marines who were fighting elsewhere.

It was indeed a technique unleashed by Charlotte Linlin, but it differed from an ordinary attack.

Not only did it last longer, it could also independently track down enemies and fight. If it charged into a crowd of ordinary troops, it would have a devastating impact on the average soldier.

“Judging by your movements, it seems you’ve chosen me as the breakthrough point. You Marines had better remember this: when I was traveling the seas, you brats were living in some corner!

“I am… Big Mom! Mama-Raid!”

Charlotte Linlin closed in on Kizaru once again. A battle between top-tier combatants could certainly decide the outcome of a war, but Charlotte Linlin knew perfectly well that this was only one part of the war.

Kizaru and Fujitora could not possibly ignore the Marines’ casualties. If all the troops here were wiped out, that would likewise be a loss the Marines could not bear.

“Perorin~ That’s Mama’s 3,000 Leagues of Misery! Cracker! Take your Biscuit Soldiers and follow Mama’s 3,000 Leagues of Misery! Wipe out those Marines!”

Perospero had barely participated in the fighting and had spent most of his time observing the battlefield. With the battle locked in a stalemate, Cracker said nothing and merely gathered even more Biscuit Soldiers to follow in 3,000 Leagues of Misery’s wake.

“Don’t panic! Form ranks! Stay behind the Pacifistas!”

The Marines were not simply fighting in a disorganized frenzy. Since there were Vice Admirals charging at the front, there were naturally also Vice Admirals commanding from the rear. Bastille was the one currently directing the Marines’ operations.

“Vice Admiral Chaton, we’ll have to leave that thing to you. If it’s left unchecked, the men over there won’t be able to withstand it.”

“My turn already? It seems we really underestimated these pirates’ combat power. Leave that side to me.”

The Marines truly had not sent a third Admiral, but they had brought along an Admiral Candidate. Tokikake had refrained from immediately entering the battle because he was serving as a reserve force in case anything unexpected happened.

The members of the Big Mom Pirates had confidence in Charlotte Linlin, while the Marines likewise had confidence in their Admirals.

As long as Fujitora defeated Katakuri, the course of the battle would change as well. However, the Homies Charlotte Linlin had created had made the fight even more fiercely contested.

Some Vice Admirals tried to assist Fujitora, but Smoothie and the others were supporting Katakuri from the sidelines. People fell every moment, but the gaps were quickly filled. As one part of the war, the battle in the waters of Totto Land had already entered the white-hot stage.

And this was only one part of it.

Some time earlier, within the Red Hair Pirates’ territory, a vast number of ships were advancing.
