PC Chapter 813 Grandine’s Magtonium

Sabrina still looked at Terrance calmly. Seeing the Trainer who had defeated her fall into a dilemma, she couldn’t help but find it a little amusing.

“Terrance is a Trainer, Breeder, and Coordinator full of imagination. His training concept is very unique. This is all the information I know about him.”

When Sabrina asked her father, Sam, about Terrance, this was all she got.

In truth, Sam didn’t know Terrance particularly well either. Still, these keywords could indeed be summarized from Terrance.

Possessing the three professions of Trainer, Breeder, and Coordinator at the same time, and having studied the latter two Trainer branches to an extremely high level, it clearly showed how different Terrance was from traditional Trainers.

Influenced by Teacher Julian, Terrance had always held himself to the standard of being “well-rounded,” never abandoning any of the fundamental skills of a Trainer.

And that… was how the current Terrance came to be.

Terrance was indeed very troubled at the moment, but in the face of Sabrina’s reminder, he didn’t choose to give up outright. He didn’t believe there was absolutely no solution.

A so-called difficult problem exists to be conquered…

Hadn’t even the once-denied “Source of Stamina” technique, through five years of his own tempering and accumulation, been elevated and successfully brought into existence?!

Terrance had faced far too many difficulties before, so he had no intention of giving up easily now. Just because Pupitar lacked the Psychic type, did that mean it absolutely couldn’t control the psychic power within the Float Stone?

He didn’t believe it!

“Miss Sabrina, may I come bother you again tomorrow?” Terrance suddenly raised his head and asked shamelessly.

To Terrance, even something seemingly impossible might have a turning point with the help of a psychic expert like Sabrina.

Sabrina looked at Terrance and said, “You’re not giving up?”

“Of course not. Even a Water-type Gyarados can master Electric-type and Fire-type moves that mutually counter its own type. Then Pupitar may not necessarily be unable to control psychic power. Don’t forget, Pupitar’s evolution, Tyranitar, has the Dark type. When it comes to controlling the flow of psychic energy, maybe it can take a different approach… for example, suppression, sealing, obstruction, restriction!”

Terrance rattled off four words in one breath. He didn’t know which term was the most appropriate; his idea was simply to use the Dark type’s counter to Psychic type to gain control over the Float Stone. As for whether it would work, who would know without trying?

Hearing Terrance’s idea, Sabrina was clearly taken aback, and then a faint smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.

“Interesting… Since you’re not willing to give up, then let’s give it a try. The favor of comprehending psychic power technique through Pupitar, I’ll repay it in this way. I’ll help you.”

Several days later.

At the training ground, Rotom Pokédex was reviewing Ninetales’s coordination techniques.

These coordination techniques were meant to be displayed at the Grand Festival.

Although already very familiar, it was still necessary to practice them once every day.

During these days, Terrance trained his Pokémon, prepared for the Grand Festival, and discussed Pupitar’s situation with Sabrina at the same time. Before long, the time for the Grand Festival arrived.

After participating in this festival, Terrance would likely leave Kanto to handle matters in Fallarbor Town.

And after taking care of all those affairs, Terrance would face one of the most crucial choices of all… whether to compete for an Elite Four seat, whether to vie for one of the highest honors a Trainer could achieve!

If challenging the Grand Festival could be considered a low-pressure exhibition match, then competing for an Elite Four seat was a cruel and merciless elimination tournament.

Even though Terrance now possessed a solid foundation, the thought of a stage where one could face many Top Trainers still kept him from being arrogant.

“Then before deciding on something so serious, I’d better finish the work at hand first!” Terrance patted his cheeks and stretched lazily.

He had already decided that once the matters in Fallarbor Town were settled, he would definitely give himself and his Pokémon a vacation.

As he silently repeated the word “rest” in his mind, Terrance suddenly noticed his phone light up.

“Huh, a message.”

The number of the unread message was very unfamiliar, but from the content, Terrance recognized that it was from James and the others…

“So many ores, and they managed to collect them all in just these few days?!” Terrance was shocked after reading the message. It seemed James and the others had indeed mobilized Team Rocket’s resources; otherwise, there was absolutely no way they could have succeeded so quickly. Even if Terrance himself had gone through legitimate channels to collect these rare ores, he certainly wouldn’t have been faster than them.

“This is bad… the value of these ores isn’t low at all. Even if James and the others don’t think much of it, still…” Terrance scratched his head innocently. At this rate, Giovanni must be even more furious, probably grinding his teeth in anger.

“I… can’t be greedy!!”

“I absolutely can’t reveal any flaws. I have to cooperate with James and the others’ mission. This is the moment to test my acting skills.”

The content of the message was very simple: they had collected most of the ores Terrance requested, and the quantities were plentiful. However, there was one special ore. James and the others had nearly searched all the way to outer space and still hadn’t found even the slightest bit of information about it.

And this ore was something Terrance had deliberately… fabricated in order to delay Team Rocket’s deadline for completing the mission.

Having truly exhausted all options, the trio worried that Terrance might be anxious, so they planned to first deliver the other ores to him. As for the remaining one, perhaps out of pride, the trio repeatedly assured Terrance that they would definitely find it, even exaggerating the details and claiming they had already obtained relevant clues…

“Obtained clues, my ass!” Terrance was speechless. How could that fabricated ore possibly be found? After all, he had practically set it up as a one-of-a-kind treasure in the world…

Meanwhile.

Somewhere in Pewter City.

James, Jessie, and Meowth stared solemnly at the blueprint in front of them.

It depicted a heart-shaped ore, crimson in color, yet emitting an orange glow. On closer inspection, the orange light looked almost like spikes protruding from the ore.

Magtonium.

Below the image was its name. The name Terrance had given this fabricated ore.

“This is so hard, meow!!” Meowth, his eyes bloodshot, scratched the table with his claws and let out a frustrated yell.

The other ores had been easily exchanged from various branch bases using Team Rocket executives’ authority, but this so-called super ore named Magtonium had yielded not a shred of information, no matter what channels they used.

“A magical ore passed down from a Pokémon kingdom called ‘Grandine’ in the Stone Age? Looks like it’s very hard to find nowadays…” James frowned deeply, finding the situation extremely troublesome, especially after seeing Magtonium’s list of astonishing effects, which only made it even more despairing.

Such a magical ore… did it really exist?
