GGS-Chapter 1132 Countermeasures Part 1

Though the Iron Man Armor improved Su Jing’s speed, he remained slower than the dark shadow, especially considering the shadow’s ability to disappear and reappear at will.

Realizing the need for additional assistance, Su Jing contacted Luo Qilin and urgently requested his aid.

In terms of speed, Luo Qilin’s Lightning Stand was unparalleled. While the dark shadow struggled to maintain his pace, Luo Qilin’s Lightning Stand traversed power lines effortlessly, moving at lightning speed as if casually strolling.

With Luo Qilin’s assistance in tracking the dark shadow’s movements, Su Jing felt a renewed sense of determination. Although the Iron Man Armor was still outpaced by the elusive shadow, having Luo Qilin relay the position in real-time allowed him to maintain the correct direction.

Coupled with the Holy Light’s rapid expansion, Su Jing managed to closely pursue the shadow.

“Damn it! I underestimated him.” Frustration and anger consumed the dark shadow as he attempted to escape using his mana, risking further injury. Yet, to his dismay, he found himself unable to shake off Su Jing, leaving him seething with rage.

“Hmm?” While soaring ahead at breakneck speed, the dark shadow abruptly turned his gaze downward. There, nestled below him, lay a city. In his haste to flee, he hadn’t paid much attention to the peculiarities or differences between this city and his own world.

Contemplation was a luxury he couldn’t afford in the midst of his desperate escape. What drew his attention now were the overhead power lines obstructing his path.

“So, there’s an accomplice. Reveal yourself!” The dark shadow extended its hand towards the left, causing the black mist to fill the air. Within the power lines, Luo Qilin’s Stand, tracking the shadow’s movements, suddenly experienced an immense force that pulled it halfway out of the wires.

Luo Qilin’s face turned pale. Apart from his previous encounter with Su Jing, he had never been put in such a passive position. The Stand was invisible to ordinary people, making it impervious to attack.

But facing this dark shadow, Luo Qilin felt as if his Stand was as delicate as a helpless chick held in someone else’s grasp. Its speed and agility seemed futile.

This was not surprising, considering that a Stand could be seen as a combination of life force and spiritual energy, or even a different manifestation of the soul. Ordinary individuals couldn’t perceive its existence, but this dark shadow itself was intangible— a ghost or spirit of sorts.

Its spiritual strength surpassed even that of Su Jing, and it was capable of inflicting instant injuries to someone’s soul and spirit energy. How could Luo Qilin evade its detection or pose a threat to it?

“What is this ethereal entity?” The dark shadow scrutinized Luo Qilin’s Stand intently, perplexed by its peculiar form. With immense power, it attempted to extract Luo Qilin’s Stand from the power lines entirely.

Desperately absorbing electricity, Luo Qilin resisted with all his might. In the realm of electrical energy, he held an advantage, but it could only be sustained for a brief period.

Fortunately, at that critical moment, Su Jing, donning the Iron Man Armor, arrived swiftly. The Holy Light had drawn closer and it was on the verge of enveloping the vicinity.

“Hmph.” The dark shadow snorted in anger, delivering a powerful blow to Luo Qilin’s Stand with its palm before resuming its escape.

The Stand endured a severe blow and nearly dissipated. Meanwhile, Luo Qilin, in a high-end apartment hundreds of miles away, coughed up blood and collapsed to the ground.

With Luo Qilin’s Stand no longer able to track the shadow, the pursuit grew challenging for Su Jing once again. Several minutes later, he ultimately lost sight of the dark shadow.

Another concern weighed on Su Jing’s mind. Although the Holy Light expanded rapidly, its speed did not match that of the Iron Man Armor’s flight.

The Holy Light relied on the capabilities of the Angel Badge and Su Jing’s spiritual energy to expand itself, but it fell short of the speed of light.

During the pursuit, although the Holy Light continued to expand, its range had already extended beyond Zhongyun City due to its incredible speed.

But it had failed to envelop the entire city. Su Jing worried that continuing the chase in this manner would not only cause him to fail to apprehend the dark shadow but it would also provide an opportunity for the shadow to return to Zhongyun City and manipulate his loved ones and friends.

Su Jing didn’t want the dark shadow to bring harm to innocent people, but like any human, he was inherently selfish. Above all, he prioritized the safety of his loved ones and friends.

Furthermore, with Luo Qilin sustaining severe injuries, Su Jing needed to return and rescue him. Losing such a capable ally was not an option he was willing to accept.

“Let’s head back to Zhongyun City and devise our next plan of action.” Su Jing sighed helplessly and swiftly retreated to Zhongyun City.

After retreating to Zhongyun City, the Holy Light emitted from the Angel Badge continued to expand, gradually encompassing the entire area within its light.

Su Jing wasn’t certain of its exact range, but he hoped it would secure their position and provide a measure of safety against whatever the hell that dark shadow thing was. Once he had the opportunity, Su Jing planned to study how to utilize the Angel Badge’s power to confront the dark shadow.

Concerned for Luo Qilin’s well-being, Su Jing hastened to his location. He found Luo Qilin lying on the ground, coughing up blood, his complexion pale, and barely clinging to life.

Su Jing checked his breathing and breathed a sigh of relief when he discovered that he was still alive.

Su Jing retrieved a Blood-Healing Pill he got from “The Immortal Gourd” universe and gently placed it in Luo Qilin’s mouth, ensuring he ingested it. Among Su Jing’s healing methods, the Blood-Healing Pill was the most potent.

Originally, there were four pills in total, but one had been used for experimentation and another to save Wei Xiaoxuan. Now, only two remained. Given Luo Qilin’s severe injuries, Su Jing reluctantly utilized one of the pills to aid his recovery.

Afterward, Su Jing activated the Spring Leaf Secret Art to continue healing Luo Qilin. After approximately half an hour, Luo Qilin regained consciousness, and his complexion showed remarkable improvement in that half hour. He was no longer in immediate danger.
