DBEPV Chapter 111 Talot: I Can Transform One More Time (Part 5)

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

After nearly ten full hours of flying, Talot and his group finally saw the region of King Yemma’s Palace.

The speed was truly unbelievable. 100,000 km/hr and the most incredible part was that such an old plane hadn’t fallen apart yet.

No idea what kind of material it was made from, or what kind of engine it had; it was simply absurd.

In fact, in terms of flying speed, it was still much slower than Talot and the others using flight technique. But still, this was a rickety old plane.

Passing by King Yemma’s Palace, the plane didn’t stop and continued on, climbing higher and higher.

It kept ascending, breaking through the boundary of the yellow clouds and leaving the region of King Yemma’s Palace, exiting even beyond Heaven. Then the plane continued its climb until it completely left the Other World.

“How amazing. So the Other World is actually a giant planet? From here, looking down, it’s such a beautiful world.” Salari had been leaning against the airplane window, gazing at the scenery outside.

“Just judging from the surface, it does seem that way. But the Other World isn’t what the mortal world calls a planet. We’ve only left the jurisdiction of the Other World. The glowing, dazzling planet you’re seeing now is actually just Heaven; it’s only a part of the Other World…” North Kai casually explained, without going into detail. Then he added, “Look ahead, that’s Grand Kai’s Planet.”

“Grand Kai’s Planet? We’ve finally arrived?” Raditz leaned forward to look ahead.

Grand Kai’s Planet.

Compared to the size of all of Heaven, it looked pitifully small.

But in reality, Grand Kai’s Planet was anything but small.

The plane continued its normal course and finally landed at an airfield designated specifically for airplanes.

North Kai led Talot and the other two, along with Gregory and Bubbles, off the plane and headed straight for Grand Kai’s Palace, where Grand Kai resided.

On the way, they passed through the region assigned to West Kai on Grand Kai’s Planet. A few powerful warriors appeared from there, respectfully greeting North Kai, which made Talot and the others take notice.

However, Talot didn’t see Pikkon!

Since, he is currently the undisputed number one expert in the Other World!

In the original work, it looked like he fought Goku to a draw, but in reality, that was just Goku’s protagonist aura at work, barely allowing him to keep up.

Even though he kind of dropped off during the later Majin Buu saga, there’s no denying his strength was real.

“Alright, from here on out is the territory of our North Area, and that magnificent building over there is where Lord Grand Kai resides,” North Kai proudly introduced the area to Talot and the other two as they passed through the region governed by his own galaxy.

As they walked along, all the dead people in the area gradually came out and respectfully bowed to North Kai.

North Kai took the opportunity to give a few brief introductions.

Although many were still training and hadn’t come out yet, meaning not everyone could be introduced right away, there would be plenty of chances later.

They arrived in front of Grand Kai’s residence.

North Kai specifically reminded the three of them to show proper respect.

To put it simply, North Kai didn’t care about such formalities, so he didn’t mind their earlier lack of respect toward him. But Grand Kai was different; he held the highest position in the Other World.

After North Kai’s called out, the wait wasn’t long. After about half a minute, just as Raditz and Salari were starting to feel puzzled and a bit impatient, a bolt of lightning suddenly came down from the sky.

An elderly man with a head full of white hair and a face full of white beard descended from above, wearing what looked like a flashy yet somewhat tacky rock-style denim outfit, with an old-fashioned boombox slung over his shoulder.

“Ohohoho~~! So you’ve finally arrived? Not bad at all! I’m glad I specially allowed you to come here as living beings,” Grand Kai said while swaying his seemingly frail body. After the song ended, he placed the boombox on the ground and turned it off.

North Kai wore a flattering expression: “Lord Grand Kai, they’ve arrived. I was wondering, do you plan to…”

Before he could even finish his sentence, Grand Kai zipped over to Talot, Raditz, and Salari, inspecting them closely.

He occasionally lifted Talot’s arm for a feel, poked at Raditz’s chest now and then, but Salari wasn’t cooperative at all. When Grand Kai reached out to touch her, she immediately took a step back. This made Grand Kai a little embarrassed, and he scratched his cheek awkwardly.

“My apologies. I’ve spent so long here on Grand Kai’s Planet, I almost forgot the difference between men and women. Ohohoho~~!” Grand Kai laughed it off with a single line, brushing aside the awkward moment.

Then, Grand Kai turned around, his back facing the three of them and North Kai.

“Can you tell us now? Why did you want to see us?” Raditz was the first to speak.

Since he spoke up, Talot didn’t bother saying anything extra.

He watched Grand Kai’s performance, trying to find the answer through his actions.

“Grand Kai’s Planet has been quiet for too long. The warriors on this planet have gotten too comfortable. The reason I called you here: first, I wanted to see a Super Saiyan. And second, I wanted to give you access to freely come and go from Grand Kai’s Planet, to bring some change here.” Grand Kai’s answer was straightforward.

He quickly turned to Talot and asked, “So, among the three of you, only you’ve achieved it?”

Seeing through him with one glance. Talot’s opinion of Grand Kai rose another level in his heart.

“Yes. Since Lord Grand Kai wants to see it, then I’ll transform into a Super Saiyan.”

Just like that—casually, abruptly—Talot didn’t hesitate in the slightest.

The S-cells in his body, the Saiyan energy, all surged toward the center of his spine. A golden aura spiraled upward, enveloping his entire body.

In just a second or two, the Super Saiyan transformation was complete.

It had to be said, these past few months of training, especially after breaking through Grade 2 and Grade 3, had made his control over the S-cells and his use of Saiyan energy far more refined.

Instant transformation was no problem at all.

“Not bad, not bad. So this is a Super Saiyan? Impressive.” Grand Kai’s praise sounded almost perfunctory.

But that’s just how Grand Kai is. In the original work, he was the same.

He may not have seemed serious, but his words were sincere.
