DBEPV Chapter 106 Immortality, Ultra Divine Water (Part 3)

All threats had been eliminated, and Talot also awakened from his enlightenment, exiting his Super Saiyan state.

The area within a two-thousand-mile radius on Planet Namek was a complete mess.

Given what had just transpired, the fact that most areas could still remain mostly intact was already quite an achievement.

After all, this battle, to say the least, was on a scale of more than ten million in power—any casual movement was enough to destroy a world.

Of course, no matter how huge the destruction, it didn’t mean much to the Namekians.

After all, the Namekians had the Dragon Balls, and they could summon the Eternal Dragon, Porunga, to make wishes.

However, what Talot didn’t expect was that the Grand Elder actually didn’t plan to use the Dragon Balls to restore the damage to Namek.

Instead, he said something that earned Talot’s deep respect.

Namek had once again suffered heavy damage because of them, the Namekians. This was their own tribulation, one that they must endure. No matter how many years it takes, he and his children would use their own efforts to restore Namek to its former state.

Talot actually understood—the Grand Elder’s decision not to use the Dragon Balls was also meant to curb the growth of Negative Energy.

In the past, Talot had overlooked this issue when using the Dragon Balls. After all, even if Negative Energy existed, a few wishes wouldn’t accumulate it to an uncontrollable level.

To put it simply, using the Dragon Balls to summon the Eternal Dragon and make wishes doesn’t necessarily generate Negative Energy 100% of the time.

The original work clearly pointed out that only pure-hearted Namekians could use the Dragon Balls, because they wouldn’t make wishes driven by greed or selfish desires.

The Namekians on Planet Namek, after years of development, no longer harbored evil in their hearts. All they yearned for was peace.

In the Dragon Ball GT timeline, the reason Earth’s Dragon Balls became overloaded with Negative Energy was entirely due to Earth itself.

The various negative emotions and evil thoughts constantly emitted by the life forms on Earth—all those negative elements indirectly fueled the growth of Negative Energy within the Dragon Balls.

Otherwise, how could just a few wishes result in the Shadow Dragons becoming so powerful?

Honestly, this plot development feels a bit like a plot device—since the reasoning is somewhat flimsy, but not entirely impossible.

After all, the Z Fighters have always been on Earth too, constantly emitting all sorts of emotions. Maybe that’s also one of the reasons the Shadow Dragons became so powerful.

……

Time flew by—in the blink of an eye, more than an hour had passed.

After resting and spending a long time talking with the Grand Elder, Talot took his leave, accompanied by Salari, Raditz, and Bulma.

After several years apart, Ragar, Nail, and many familiar Namekians all hoped that Talot and his group could stay for a few days, so they could properly host and thank them.

But Talot and the others still had important matters to attend to.

At this point in time, the World Martial Arts Tournament awards ceremony on Earth had surely already concluded. By now, Gine, Goku, and the others were probably waiting for their return.

After saying their goodbyes, Talot used Instant Transmission and led the other three, vanishing from Planet Namek.

In the past, it would have been impossible to travel such an immense distance between Planet Namek and Earth in one go.

But now, with his increasingly refined control over Instant Transmission and the considerable level of his own strength, it was possible.

No! It wasn’t entirely because of just those two factors.

If it had been Salari or Raditz using Instant Transmission, there’s no way they could have jumped such a vast distance directly back to Earth.

It was due to the unique nature of Instant Transmission—Talot’s teleportation didn’t rely on sensing an aura to travel, but rather on the spatial mark he had left on Earth. By using this mark, the travel consumed less energy and became far simpler.

Upon returning to Earth, just as Talot had predicted, the final segment of the World Martial Arts Tournament had ended. Gine, Son Gohan, Master Roshi, along with Goku, Yamcha, and Krillin, were enjoying a meal at a nicely situated restaurant.

It was dinnertime.

As Goku and the others’ teacher, Master Roshi ended up being the unlucky one footing the bill.

The 500,000 Zeni prize he won for becoming the champion of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament was just enough to pay for this meal.

To be honest, he should be thankful that Talot, Salari, and Raditz weren’t there.

Otherwise, forget 500,000 Zeni—even a million might not have been enough.

Everyone was quite curious about Talot and the others’ absence, but Talot didn’t go into detail. Salari and Raditz, influenced by Talot, had also never spoken on Earth about their off-world experiences, in order not to worry Gine.

It was Bulma who almost slipped up, but thankfully Salari stopped her in time. In the end, she only mentioned going to another planet and having some unforgettable experiences.

All in all, the matter passed without further issue.

Perhaps everyone understood that there were some things Talot and the others didn’t want to talk about—but since they chose silence, no one tried to force the answer.

The next morning.

Mount Paozu.

Yesterday, after sending Master Roshi and the others back to Kame House, everyone returned to Mount Paozu.

Techniques like Instant Transmission completely fascinated Goku, Yamcha, and Krillin—unfortunately, even after studying it, they couldn’t learn it.

As for Goku and the others, they had actually experienced it half a year ago, when they returned from Devil’s Castle.

At that time, they were even bothered with it for a while—Goku wanted to learn it, but his strength was just too weak. Even when they explained some of the tricks of Instant Transmission to him, he still couldn’t learn it.

Master Roshi was utterly stunned.

His first time experiencing it deepened his understanding of martial arts even further.

In the past, how could he have imagined that such methods of using ki even existed in the world?

He also became more aware that there is always someone stronger, and a sky beyond the sky.

Before parting, when Talot saw the enlightened Master Roshi, he even wondered whether the old man might see another surge in power before long.

If that happened, then perhaps in three years, when the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament comes and King Piccolo breaks his seal—if the storyline remains unchanged—he might not die after all.

Master Roshi fighting King Piccolo in a full-blown battle, utterly crushing him! What an awe-inspiring sight that would be.

But enough about them.

Talot had gotten up early, heading to the open mountains behind to train and meditate.

Yesterday’s experience had given him many insights—especially the sensation brought on by Negative Energy, which made him realize this world was even bigger than he’d imagined.

Furthermore, the power he had drawn out using Negative Energy still needed some time to fully stabilize.

Halfway through training, Salari and Raditz finally woke up. After washing up, they searched for Talot’s aura to locate him.

After greeting Gine, who was already preparing breakfast, they found Talot and together reflected on everything that had happened yesterday.

All through the night, the two of them had been wandering through dreams.
