DBEPV Chapter 105 Talot’s Fury! Negative Energy Appears (Part 4)

Salari had always been someone Talot regarded as family, and family was his reverse scale.

“Since you refuse to return her, then I’ll take her back myself!” As intense killing intent erupted from his eyes, Talot instantly activated the Super Saiyan energy within him.

Golden flaming aura flickered faintly around him. Talot didn’t transform, but for a brief moment, he unleashed power on par with a Super Saiyan.

In just 0.001 seconds, he crossed the final distance between himself and Slug, severing the arm that was gripping Salari’s throat, rescuing her in that fleeting instant.

Everything happened so suddenly that even Slug, empowered by Negative Energy, couldn’t react in time.

It was inevitable — even with the boost from Negative Energy, Slug’s power level was only around twenty to thirty million.

After saving Salari, Talot’s body still shimmered with golden light, but he quickly retracted it.

“Brother Talot… I… I’m sorry… I let you down…” Salari, realizing she was being held in Talot’s arms, spoke through choked sobs.

“It’s okay. You actually beat him already — it’s just that he borrowed power that doesn’t belong to him, and that’s why he managed to defeat you,” Talot said. As he spoke, he shot a fierce glare at Slug, then, with a thought, retrieved a Senzu Bean from his personal storage space and gently fed it to Salari.

Once she swallowed the Senzu Bean, Salari’s injuries quickly healed, and because of the recovery from serious wounds and the fierce battle she had gone through, her base power level immediately increased by 300,000 points.

A power level of 900,000 — not quite at one million yet, but very close.

Raditz had previously caught up to her through sheer hard work, but now the gap between them had widened again.

“This… this is my current strength? So strong… It’s so much stronger than before. If I use 20x Kaio-ken now…” Salari muttered to herself in disbelief, utterly shocked.

Seeing her reaction, Talot smiled. “If you’re alright now, go over to Raditz. Leave this guy to me.”

After saying that, Talot finally turned around to face Slug, who had now realized what had happened and was roaring in rage.

Slug’s severed arm throbbed with pain, and his howls of unwilling fury were magnified endlessly under the influence of Negative Energy.

Seeing this, Salari looked at Talot and warned him, “Be careful, Brother Talot. This guy isn’t easy to deal with.”

“Yeah, I know,” Talot nodded at her words without looking back at Salari.

Only then did Salari feel relieved, and she swiftly left.

At that moment, Slug had just managed to regenerate his arm. Seeing Salari escape, his eyes turned bloodshot with rage, and he immediately launched a Negative Energy Ball.

However, against Talot, that attack was hardly worth mentioning.

Without even needing to transform, Talot simply tapped into the power of the humanoid Great Ape form within him and forcefully blocked it.

With a base power level of 2 million, even just a basic tenfold boost from the Great Ape’s power skyrocketed it to 20 million!

And that was just the raw number — Talot’s actual combat strength was even greater.

“Your opponent now is me! You were once a feared overlord, and now you’re reduced to cheap sneak attacks and bullying the weak?” Talot said mockingly as he toyed with the Negative Energy Ball in his hand.

After he spoke, Talot tightened his grip and crushed the energy ball.

There was no explosion — because while playing with it, Talot had infused it with positive energy from his own body, neutralizing it.

This technique, he had to thank North Kai for.

When learning how to use Spirit Bomb, he had heard plenty about Positive Energy and Negative Energy.

Seeing his attack so easily nullified, Slug’s face twisted in fury, and he roared, “You stupid monkey! Just like that female monkey earlier, you think you’re something special just because you know how to use cheap tricks? You have no idea how powerful I’ve become!”

“Is that so?” Talot narrowed his eyes slightly.

Honestly, Slug was blindly overconfident.

It was probably because he had been invincible in his own era that beings like him developed the delusion that their strength could crush everything.

But the truth was, powerhouses from the past era — to Talot in the current era — really weren’t anything special anymore.

Even in the original work’s storyline, it would only be about another decade before all those old geezers, including the so-called universal emperors like Frieza and Cooler, would become relics of the past. Stubbornly clinging to their ways, unable to break free from their own limitations, they’d be left behind by the ship sailing toward the next era.

Frieza only managed to stay relevant because, in the “Super” era of the future, he recognized reality, and trained like crazy after resurrection to catch up with the tide of the times.

Facing Talot’s taunts, Slug grew even more furious. The Negative Energy swirling around him became even more evil and immense.

“For the loss of my arm, I’ll take your life as payment!” Slug roared, his burly figure suddenly charging forward.

His speed was indeed fast.

But in Talot’s view, at a power level in the twenty to thirty million range, that kind of speed was merely above average.

Salari hadn’t been able to react earlier mainly because the gap in power had widened too suddenly. Slug’s speed did indeed surpass the ten-million mark.

[Let me see for myself just how strong you really are—and whether you can push even further?!] Talot thought to himself, steadying his energy and pushing the power of his humanoid Great Ape form to its absolute limit—tenfold.

Slug closed the distance quickly, his enormous frame giving him an apparent advantage in terms of raw presence.

But to Talot, it only made him look clumsy.

With a simple motion, Talot met Slug’s incoming punch head-on with a punch of his own.

‘BOOM!!!!!!’

It was a scene that had played out many times before.

After all, Salari had exchanged punches with Slug quite a few times earlier.

But this time was completely different. Talot’s attack was far fiercer, and his strength far exceeded Salari’s. Boosted by the humanoid Great Ape form, he could unleash the full might of his body.

“What?!” Slug’s face twisted in fear as he was the one sent flying backward from the clash.

This was something he had never expected.

He had thought this Saiyan monkey, while decent, wasn’t anything special.

But the reality hit hard — he, who specialized in brute strength, was actually being overpowered in raw force.

“Is that all you’ve got? If this is the extent of the power you gained from absorbing Negative Energy, it’s honestly nothing impressive.” Saying that, Talot launched his own attack.

Slug, sensing it, quickly swung his other fist toward Talot.

[Good instincts… but too bad.] Talot gave him a slight mental compliment, acknowledging that under the boost of Negative Energy, Slug’s strength had indeed surpassed twenty million power level.
