“Boom!! Bang!! Kaboom!! Pow!!…”
Muffled blasts, sonic booms — the sounds were incessant.
The battle was so intense, it was beyond what an ordinary being could follow with their eyes.
There were undoubtedly only three people present who could fully observe the fight with their eyes.
Talot and Raditz, of course, needed no mention.
Aside from them, only the Grand Elder could see it clearly.
You might say, “Don’t Ragar and Nail also have high power level?”
They do!
But a battle at the ten-million power level range — even if Ragar had a power level over several hundred thousand — was still too fast for him to see clearly.
Even with aura perception and other special sensing abilities, he could only barely keep up.
“Your strength is getting weaker and weaker,” Salari taunted Slug mid-attack. “Even if you’ve used some special method to restore your youth, it doesn’t mean you’ve truly returned to your prime. My 20x Kaio-ken drains far less energy!”
Slug was fuming at the words, already pushed to the limits of his rage. “You damn monkey! Don’t get cocky! I haven’t even used my full strength yet. It’s too soon to start celebrating your victory!”
In his furious state, Slug’s attacks did grow noticeably more powerful — but even then, he only barely managed to force Salari back.
Still, he had reason to be proud: he had managed to force back Salari, whose power level had reached 12 million, using nothing but his ten-million-level power level.
Even though Salari had boosted herself using Kaio-ken, Slug was also drawing on some kind of special ability.
So the conditions were fairly matched. It just showed that Slug truly was a born fighting genius, someone who naturally surpassed countless others.
Even though Salari herself could be considered a combat prodigy, she still lagged behind in comparison.
But Salari wasn’t about to lose — she had only just begun to unleash her full power. In fact, she was using Slug as a test subject, sharpening her mastery over her strength.
“BOOOOOOM!!!!”
The two clashed fists again in a fierce blow.
With the explosive release of their power, the island beneath them shattered into pieces.
No one could even keep count of how many islands they had destroyed by this point.
The range of battlefield had grown wider and wider, and even now, the fight remained deadlocked — neither side giving an inch.
Time had become the greatest test.
“Bang!!!” — a sickening, meaty impact.
Salari’s fist broke through Slug’s defenses first, smashing into his stomach with full force.
The sheer power made Slug double over, coughing up vomit mixed with blood.
Was that it? Was he going to be defeated just like that?
No!
Slug gritted his teeth and forcibly stabilized himself, summoning his strength and landing a punch square on Salari’s face.
The powerful strength sent Salari tilting to the side, her head snapping to a near ninety-degree angle from the blow.
Did Salari lose?
No! She stabilized her body with her own strength and, refusing to fall, landed another punch right to Slug’s face.
This time, the heavy strike sent Slug flying, not far — just over ten meters — but enough to knock him to the ground, groaning in pain.
“No… Impossible… How could you… defeat me… Aahhh~~! AHHHH~~!!” As Slug spoke hatefully through gritted teeth, he struggled to stand — but suddenly something changed.
He seemed to sense it — and then both his body and soul were wracked by a terrifying force, as though being torn apart.
His screams turned into wails of agony.
A twisted, malevolent dark aura burst out uncontrollably from within him, streaking with black lightning, unnaturally eerie.
“Huh? This aura… it’s so dark… so evil…” Salari’s expression turned serious. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, her face now even more focused and guarded.
After so many rounds of intense fighting, her energy was heavily drained. Every strike she had thrown had been with her full might. If not for her extraordinary stamina, she would’ve exited the 20x Kaio-ken state long before Slug was defeated.
Maintaining her peak power level, Salari remained on high alert, not daring to let her guard down.
She didn’t know why… but this power was giving her a deep, bone-chilling sense of dread.
Suddenly, a sense of dread surged in her heart like a warning alarm — prompting Salari to instinctively leap back over ten meters.
The next second, a bolt of black lightning landed at the spot where she had just been standing.
Had she stayed even a moment longer, she would have at least been seriously injured by that dark lightning strike.
“What is this power? Can he still get stronger?” Salari wiped the sweat from her forehead, clearly shaken — the fighting spirit she had just moments ago was now more than halfway gone.
