DBEPV Chapter 101 S Cells, the Sleeping Beauty in Devil’s Castle (Part 4)

“Lucifer, are you sure this time it will succeed?! It’s been three hundred years—we’ve been lurking in the darkness for three hundred years! If we fail again, who knows how long we’ll have to wait.” Shula questioned Lucifer sternly.

At those words, Lucifer let out a loud laugh: “Relax, Shula. Based on the calculated data, the energy gathered from three hundred full moons has pushed the Sleeping Princess’s energy level to an unprecedented height! Last time, we only gathered for fifty years—that’s why we failed. But this time, it’s been three hundred years! You should know just how high the energy levels are!”

“Hmph! It was your recklessness last time, trying too hard to show off in front of the Demon King, that led to the solar flare and a decade of scorching sunlight hanging in the sky!” Shula fumed with rage.

“This time, it absolutely won’t happen again. Just wait—our demon’s era is about to officially begin. For the next few centuries, the entire Earth will belong to our kind,” Lucifer said, unable to contain his excitement at the vision.

Shula calmed down slightly. At the very least, he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes yet. And even without the threat of sunlight, reclaiming the human world wouldn’t be so easy.

The human world… still had that damn Kami!

Three hundred years ago, if it hadn’t been for that alien’s appearance, Earth would have already been theirs.

What was even more infuriating was that centuries ago, when Demon King Dabura arrived on Earth, they could’ve used the Demon King’s power. But thanks to Lucifer’s need to prove himself, everything blew up.

The Demon King left, and they were forced to survive in the shadows.

And then there was the failure to seize the Kami’s position three hundred years ago. Garlic’s loss had doomed the demons to centuries of decline.

Suppressing his emotions, Shula looked again at the projection before him: “And what do you plan to do with these people? For them to suddenly show up at such a critical moment… Has your plan been leaked?”

“Impossible! There’s no way humans could know about our plan. Besides, all these years, we’ve never set foot in human territory,” Lucifer scoffed dismissively.

“You better be right! You’d best be cautious. Don’t let anything go wrong at the final hour!” Shula closed his eyes to rest.

Lucifer stood up: “Stay here and rest. I’ll go make some preparations—and deal with those pesky humans. Speaking of which, isn’t it a rare treat that some human adventurers have come right to us? Perfect timing—they can be the feast for our celebration! Jieh jieh jieh jieh~~~!”

By the end of his words, Lucifer couldn’t help revealing his true nature. That laugh of his—eerie and sinister—sent chills straight to the soul.

Shula paid him no more attention. After Lucifer left, he raised his eyes again, gazing at one particular figure in the projected image.

That boy with the crab-shaped hairstyle gave him an intense sense of unease…

……

At the same time, North Kai’s Planet.

Over the past three months, Talot, Salari, and Raditz had continued solidifying their training on North Kai’s Planet, without going anywhere else.

It was just that each of them trained in different ways.

Talot was naturally focused on stabilizing the Super Saiyan transformation and the strength after transforming.

Salari and Raditz, while also working on consolidating and increasing their strength, set aside time each day to try sensing the presence of S-cells.

What they didn’t know was that—at their current level—not only were they unable to sense them, but even if they could, their S-cell count still fell far short of the minimum needed to transform.

Today, the three of them had just finished training and were getting ready to head back to Earth.

That was the original plan anyway—to wrap up several years of training with North Kai, return to Earth for some proper rest, and then begin the next phase of their training plan.

However, just at that moment, they suddenly received a message from North Kai.

North Kai had been alerted by a warning from King Yemma, prompting him to observe Earth from afar—and finally learn the full situation.

“So, it’s actually perfect timing. Just as we finish our training, a major upheaval takes place on Earth.” Salari spoke up. She didn’t seem too concerned about the situation on Earth. Although it involved many people they were familiar with, just how strong were those people, really? Even if you added up all the lifeforms on Earth, they wouldn’t be enough to fill the gap between their teeth.

“From what you’re saying, my brother Kakarot is now fighting the demon army on Earth? That’s my brother, alright!” Raditz said proudly.

He had no idea how powerful the demon army was, but the fact that his brother had the guts to charge alone into enemy territory to take on a different race’ army was more than enough to prove his courage.

Talot, on the other hand, was lost in thought.

Because he seemed to recall something—but couldn’t fully be sure.

So he could only say: “Let’s go. Since something like this is happening, it’d be wrong of us not to go back and check it out. If no one stops them, then like you said, North Kai, Earth will just become territory of the demon, won’t it?”

After speaking, Talot, Salari, and Raditz exchanged a glance.

They moved in closer on their own, each placing a hand on Talot’s shoulders from either side.

Before North Kai could say anything more, Instant Transmission was activated, and the three of them vanished from North Kai’s Planet.

With the trio gone, North Kai couldn’t help but let out a sigh.

He was proud—proud that he had mentored those three.

But he also had a headache—because when it came to those three, he always had a lingering worry, afraid they’d stir up some massive incident.

“All in all, this time the demons on Earth are finished. Their doomsday has finally arrived,” North Kai said aloud.

His thoughts drifted off, not bothering to glance at Bubbles and Gregory beside him.

They couldn’t possibly know that North Kai didn’t really care about Earth’s demons. But the demons on Earth were indeed linked to the Demon Realm, and Demon King Dabura was no ordinary being. He was a terrifying powerhouse on par with the Supreme Kai.

[Let’s just hope he doesn’t take notice… Otherwise, Earth might really face a catastrophe.]
